The Garlic Farm Accommodation

I've stayed in every one of these cottages over the years and they are all lovely. Shielded by Mersley down, the setting couldn't be more peaceful and the fact that The Garlic Farm restaurant, cafe and shop are within easy reach is a real bonus. There is the most amazing cycling on the doorstep and the beach is less than 15 minutes away, we love it!

Normally, my school friends ( all hitting 40 now) meet up annually for a glamp, this year for the first time we decided to stay at home for the glamp (on the island) with the group getting bigger each year. This year it was 38 people from all over the uk travelling to garlic farm yurts ( mine was a 8 minutes drive luckily) got there and still can't believe I lived on the island all my life and never been here. Felt like a different country, beautiful setting.Facilities are on point! Yurts are lovely with good ovens, tea making facilities, showers, double bed and single beds up stairs holding up to 5 or 6 people in total, suspended egg chairs, clean and tidy with treats such as garlic farm chutneys, pickles, fig dressing, IOW milk and a welcome booklet to flick through. Tennis court, football pitch, games room with pool table, fooseball, air hock and table tennis. A separate laundry room and beautiful walks all around the glamping site. With the garlic farm restaurant where you can hear the live music like we did today, all very hungover, It was absolutely lush. The hot tubs x2 fired with bubbles, logs burners in each yurt with a fire put outside each one and herbs in the yurt name boxes ( helpful for drinks and cooking!)...then theres the main firepit/bar/kitchen/bbq communal area. They've made a bar with this beautiful slab of rescued isle of wight oak, which was the perfect size for the 38 bottles of gin and mixers we had bought for the weekend. Enough fridges and freezers to hold all our food, ice, drinks etc. A good BBQ is next to kitchen which is bridged by a firepit chimney surrounded by these 3 people homemade-benches with a pizza oven near the entrance..we later set up our music in this area where it could easily fit all 38 of us either dancing, socialising, warming up at the fire pit or drinking at the oak bar...for a big group like ours it really was spot on.The first night, 2 caterers cooked all of us a beef bourguignon, and as a chef who worked in France and made it every week for 4 years, it was traditional and spot on! It came accompanied by Tenderstem broccoli and sautéed new spuds- stuff mushroom veggy option. Later on, one of the caterers Ed and host Hugo joined us for some gin and a dance! On the Sunday, Anna the other caterer and Mel ( hugos wife) joined us for a wine as we chatted about our weekend, really funny accommodating hosts! I honestly could go on about the little things that you pick up on and compared to anywhere i have been, this has been a far superior venue of its type. Oh, the dog Ruthie, the chickens, an array of birds, the wild rabbits, and i think a peacock? Also stars of the show!Definitely a 5 star experience and so proud to have something like this representing the Isle of wight. Well done garlic garm yurts!

Could not recommend a yurt stay here any higher, loved it! you also get 10% off the restaurant and the shop, that sells a lot of local produce. The chickens, bunnies and peacocks are all very friendly too!

This trip was a gift I got for my parents, brother and sis in law, little niece and my boyfriend for Christmas. The valley is stunning, the comms with the team before getting there, during and after, absolutely amazing. Such a lovely, cosy, country feel break. The cottages were stunning, cosy and more than comfortable. Fully equipped. We were amazed and blown away. The restaurant and shop had such friendly staff and we had such a yummy breakfast. We actually bought some bits from the shop and just had a dinner using one of the sauces. Yum! The tennis court, football pitch, little games room, chickens, outdoor little play area - amazing! The team also helped with booking our ferries, with priority boarding, at a discounted price. We had a lovely conversation with the previous owner, and just felt so welcomed. I was blown away with how perfect this weekend has been and we really didnt want to leave. Highly recommended and we will be back, hopefully when a bit warmer to make the most of the provided bbqs as well as trying out the Yurts. I cannot thank you enough,until the next time.

We have just left after a week staying in the Ruthie yurt. Amazing experience, the yurt had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Hot tub was an added bonus! The surroundings were amazing we had visits from the chickens, red squirrels and lots of other amazing wildlife. Would highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning location, really well put together and thought out, I’d highly recommend it as an escape for big groups of families or friends, theirs plenty of space for games and activities, the yurts are a delight, and they have wood fired hot tubs. The bar/bbq/fire pit/dinning yurt is great for getting everyone together, would highly recommend

Beautiful property and superb service. Really helpful owners sorted out the ferries for us. Will definitely stay here again.

A must, when visiting Isle of Wight. The place is so cute, so many different items made from garlic! I didn't even know!!! Bith my husband and I love garlic, so this place was a real treat already. We gad decided to have lunch here, and I have to admit the food is phenomenal! The mushroom ravioli with garlic, and the gsrlic mushroom starter and the pork belly were mouthwatering! Mushrooms and gsrlic go so well together, we absolutely loved it! I would go there again 100% to try some of the other dishes. I can rave on about the food here, so delicious!! Definitely a must!

Great place to stay,stayed in one of the yurts for the second year in a row and will definitely be back. Nice peaceful place to relax, great restaurant on site and a couple of pubs within easy reach. We find this to be a great base for exploring the island as most things are only a few minutes drive away. The accommodation is high standard and staff can't do enough for you
