Gorton Mountain Bothy

This is the bothy where I heard voices outside in the wee small hours, and boots crunching along the gravel path. But no-one ever came in and, when I looked out, there was no gravel path either; only grass. I spent the next night at Ben Alder Cottage which is reputedly haunted, but never heard a thing... Ghosties had maybe gone walkies!Both bothies are wonderfully situated in wild and beautiful surroundings, but don't go if you're of a nervous disposition....

Great Bothy in a beautiful location, room for about 20 people at a push if needs be! There’s a fireplace in one room and running water nearby.Great access to nearby munroes too!

Out of the way location. Stunning scenery. Feels very remote.

It was my first time here and once we had humped in the bothie was great. Fairly clean and with everything we needed.
