Amazing experience. The people here were very kind and friendly, even though it was Sunday morning and I was only a foreigner on vacation passing through Glasgow. I was even offered a breakfast! I came here because I was worried that I might have a heart problem. At the end it turned out that my heart is alright but no one has in the process downplayed it — they took it really seriously and I was thoroughly tested.I spent here about four hours which was longer then I expected but that's okay.A big thank you to all the staff!

Poor attitude towards patients with mental illness and disregard for confidentiality as well as causing humiliation and further distress. Very gossipy staff although I can say out of all of them there is about 1 nurse who is a delight. She really loves her job and taking care of people regardless of circumstances. The doctors really don't seem to care at all. like the rest of the reviews, it seems to be you need to be dying to be able to say thanks" for what is offered. It is just frightening the lack of care in a job that is meant to be all about care and patient dignity/respect. I don't understand why people go into these jobs if they aren't willing to do them properly and morally sound.Doctors don't give you the time to explain what is going on and seem agitated that you are using their time. What is a doctor without their patient?I would not want to return here. Even if I was dying. very unpleasant and poor quality experience which could have been so different if they were better with bedside manner. If you do go here be prepared to wait up to 10-20 hours. bring something comfy to sit on as they are metal seats. don't take anything too personally either- it seems to be the low standard of care that is for everyone. Truly an awful department. Disrespectful staff. If you can just try to avoid. (of course do seek medical assistance elsewhere). But yes

Awful place, dirty, tubs of sick and blood on floors, all of the seats taken up had to stand and wait with broken ribs as floor was also filthy! After nearly 6hrs waiting in pain it was announce that due to being very busy anyone that didn’t have life threatening injuries should go home and try again tomorrow!.I thought this was Accident and Emergency but seems more like 3rd world hospital.

The problem is they are overcrowded. Once you get in there, they will take care of you....! however getting there need at least 3-4 hours wait or sometimes 3/4 days.

Exceptionally long wait that have had to leave the hospital although I have had head injury and was suffering from unbearable headaches, when I said to the receptionist that I cannot put myself together to wait any longer, after two hours, she said it’s fine so I left without being seen although they asked me to come back…disappointed, although very grateful for the first time! Hopefully you sort yourself out so no patients have to wait that long in pain!

No hygiene, covid is the least you will catch here. People rather sit on the floor(you can see how dirty the floor is) the seats are worse. It’s been 4 hours since we have arrived and sick and pots of urine were already present in the seating area. They have still not been disposed of.Horrendous. Degrading. Humiliating. Zero help for the helpless.

I had a really bad experience. I was referred here by the pharmacist and after waiting for 2 hours I met Dr. Paul who after examining me was very rude to me and shouted at me and said unless it's killing you over the weekend don't come to the emergency department"

Was seen so quickly just left now but need to get off my chest (I’m white girl on my fake account btw don’t want to be black listed in the near future for care I deserve) staff so gossipy, heard one saying while thinking I was sleeping there is black guy in still waiting for a bed she was like give to someone else in the mean time he can wait I wanted to vomit so did the nurse I think, they prob experienced this more than once to brush this off what’s this hospital became better off shut down they suppose to help people took an oath to help anyone no matter skin or situation, another with mental health problems obv, very cheeky to them not seeing them left in bed for hours I wanted to cry, someone needs to change this hospital staffs or they need recorded with no cam I guarantee it change

Don’t waste your time coming here. I just left after a three hour wait with what a think it’s a very bad ear infection and they refused to check me and told me after a 3 hour wait that I have to call my GP. The nurse that told me had a horrible attitude and was extremely rude. Will not come back ever again
