We are absolutely delighted with the Garifoli Avio door sets we have purchased from Moore and Moore. my son and I have self-built 2 identical houses and used around 40 doors per house. They were delivered on time, all to the correct specification, well packed and without any damage. Extremly easy and quick to install and they look stunning! Thank you.

Jenny and Steve have been amazing from the start. Their customer service has been fantastic and we can’t recommend them highly enough. The Garifoldi doors we purchased from them are of an amazing quality and we’re easy to install ourselves, saving us time and money, as we didn’t need to pay someone else to fit them. We did it ourselves, once we got the hang of installing the doors and frames it took about an hour per door. Amazing!

Avoid these people!I paid north of £16k for x19 Garofoli doors inc installation. I had the site survey, which at £250+vat turned-out to be a complete waste of money. The order was placed at the beginning of June and the doors arrived a bit later than initially advised mid-August. Not a big problem but a good indication of how things would go from there.Communication is slow and poor. Customer service, if you can call it that, is even worse.Moore & Moore insisted on payment up-front and I trusted them so paid accordingly. That was my biggest mistakeWhen they arrived the fitters were nice guys, courteous, very tidy and professional. They made some mistakes and I can accept that if these were to be rectified but they were not. Read on………..The doors were beautiful but some were not correctly sized. As a result the fitters had to break-out a wall. 2 of the sliding doors did not fit because my carpenter had apparently placed the rail mechanisms too low, even if those rails were fitted at the time of the survey. They then had to break-out 2 more walls, which they charged me extra for then they put the same rails back so low that the doors touched the floors (<2mm gap). As a result I had to have the flooring removed and the floor sanded down.One sliding-door has fallen off the mechanism. They wanted to charge me extra for refitting it and/or give a written statement that I had not had it tampered with. We opened/closed it no more than a dozen timesThe architrave has warped and several have fallen off. The lounge doors cannot be closed or opened correctly as they are too large for the opening.Two of the doors show bare timbers at the edge where the fitters set the frames too far to one side. 4 of the doors show gaps above the header.One header was damaged on delivery, which the fitter did note.After a lot of complaining the directors did come back and survey the job, which I was grateful for. They accepted some of the faults but pointed-out that some of my walls were not plumb. This I accepted, although surely the survey would have noted that?Two dates for remedial works were missed and to add insult to injury they continue send me snotty emails full of excuses and disclaimers. It has now cost me well over £1,000 to made-good the damaged walls and alter the floor. Three months later and I still do not have the job finished. As a last attempt I contacted Garafoli but they just bounce me back to Moore & Moore.I will unfortunately have to incur extra cost for another contractor to make-good the faults. My advice is to wait for Garafoli to appoint a new rep because these people surely cannot survive in business working like this?

I am currently in the throes of ‘building the dream’. The starter gun has fired, and I’m off stumbling through a minefield of decisions and deliberations.With the variety of merchandise extensive, it can literally blow your mind, leaving you chasing your own tail in dizzying circles. When thoughts turn to the interior, one of the crucial features that help establish the look are doors, architrave and skirting boards, and I’ve been in a right royal pickle about this subject. I am bewildered by the range available, the trials and tribulations of being able to see the product up close, and the ability to chat with another human being before making that all important decision.And then…magic happened…As sometimes happens in life, a stroke of luck led me to Moore & Moore, which turned out to be one of the best strokes I’ve ever had!A small, inclusive showroom, top notch Italian doors, skirting, (flooring if desired), handles, the whole shebang – happy days. And there to warmly welcome you, two equally top-notch humans - Jenny and Steve.They are the font of all knowledge, helpful beyond belief, and very patient indeed; especially when dealing with a numpty like me! I could wax lyrical when it comes to the quality of the doors, but to save you that pain, they are simply lovely. The skirting and handles aren’t too bad either! With Steve and Jenny’s expertise, the kind offer of coffee and biscuits too, what’s not to like. After a splendid and informative two hours, it’s safe to say, when the time comes, Moore & Moore have got my doors.Whether you are refurbishing, or like me, on that fraught new build path, I implore you to go visit Moore & Moore for yourself…you’ll be glad you did!
