Fantastic concept, brilliantly executed. Everyone who helped with fixing my dehumidifier were knowledgeable and helpful. Love the idea of encouraging people to get household appliances and items repaired, rather than thrown away and replaced. More than happy to give a donation for what they did over the two appointments I had. I'm sure worked out considerably cheaper than what it would have cost me to send the item back to the manufacturer for a service. Especially as it's over 10 years old. And now seems to be working properly. And the requirement that you stay and watch the repair is a good idea as well for encouraging people to be more self reliant.

So grateful for mending my food processor and resuming it from landfill. Brilliant!

What a fantastic experience! So many brilliant people working there doing incredible things to help be more sustainable. We took two vacuum cleaners down and had them repaired by the amazing Pete! Thank you.

I could've gone and paid someone to sharpen my knives, but after hearing about this place online, I decided to check it out.Mark was friendly, helpful, and imparted lots of knowledge so I can do a better job of sharpening at home in the future.I highly recommend Repair Café Portsmouth for all your repair needs. These people are out their volunteering to help their community so we can get more use out of what we have, which I think is a brilliant concept we should all try to embrace more.Leave a good donation if you can, and consider them for all the services they offer. I'd rather support somewhere like this where my money goes towards helping other people too.
