Child Psychology Dr.Stephanie Satariano

We searched for an Educational Psychologist online and came across Stephanie's website. She was very accommodating and totally understood our needs as parents. She put us totally at ease and very approachable. No question or issue was ever too much to ask for. She has a wide range of experience and is very passionate about her work.We were also keen to find an EP that could really give us a full picture of our daughters needs and engage our child in the best way possible.Well.....we could not have asked for more. She had the natural ability to connect with our daughter both online and in person. Dr Stephanie Satariano has been a really important figure in my daughter's education.Through the EP reports, Stephie gave constructive advice to the school and helped me to understand my daughter's learning difference. The assessments were carried out in a friendly and fun way easing my daughter's anxiety. Stephie has also been super supportive with further advice post assessments. She is a well-informed practitioner in her field, she is non-judgemental and genuinely passionate about making education inclusive. In my experience, I have two daughters with Autism Spectrum Disorder, DCD, Dyslexia and it has been really difficult to find practitioners who are really knowledgeable and really do care.

We chose Dr Satariano because her professional profile and expertise mapped well to the needs of our daughter. We were looking for guidance in relation to secondary transfer. We found that all aspects of the assessment process worked well. The assessment process was friendly and informal and worked well for our daughter. We were given plenty of opportunity to share information and our perspectives and concerns. Dr Satariano was approachable, pragmatic and realistic. She clearly has considerable experience of navigating the system and a good grasp of the range of challenges in special needs education, of the EHCP process and working with LAs. The report and follow up appointment have been really helpful. The report is detailed and thorough. We would not hesitate to recommend Dr Satariano.

Our son recently had an educational assessment with Dr Satariano. He has had a number of assessments, but this was the first time that he had fun! We were so impressed by her approach with our son and with us as parents. The report following the assessment was very detailed and offered both analysis and practical recommendations for his school to support his learning I have already recommended Dr Satariano to friends because she provided such an excellent service.

I found Dr Stephanie Satariano by searching the internet for a child psychologist & educational psychologist.Stephanie has been accommodating from the beginning. Our meetings were online only due to the lockdown but even so her kindness, attention, professionalism came through very well: although our preschool-aged child looked shy at the beginning of the first meeting, then she did not want Stephanie to go by the end of the meeting.What was great, Stephanie looked at the family as a whole and she did not pick up only signs & symptoms but seemed to look at the causes. Beyond receiving a developmental assessment, we received very good practical advices that made a huge difference to the entire family. Stephanie’s involvement has had a positive impact on our young child’s everyday/every night :) life and indirectly on ours.We highly recommend her as a child & educational psychologist and would go back to her if we needed more professional help from a psychologist for children.

Dr Stephanie helped us at a very difficult time, when we were appealing to tribunal in relation to our son's EHCP. She was friendly, warm and knowledgeable and put us and our son at ease. She was also very flexible in working with our son's school to conduct an observation, which helped everything go smoothly. The report she wrote clearly outlined our son's needs and the provisions he required from an educational placement and has been instrumental in the LA conceding before we had to go to the tribunal hearing. We would recommend her to anyone who is in this difficult position and needs an independent assessment for their child.

Dr Satariano provided invaluable support for my 8-year old who was suffering from severe anxiety. My child was immediately comfortable with Dr Satariano who provided a warm and comforting environment where my daughter learned coping techniques for managing her feelings and alleviating her stress. I highly recommend.

Dr Stephanie is simply amazing. From the first meeting my daughter was at ease and Dr Stephanie completed an extremely thorough and stress-free assessment for our 8 yr old daughter. An informal diagnosis was provided instantly and a thorough and comprehensive assessment report followed in the next few days. The report not only detailed the quantitative results of the assessment but also contained qualitative commentary in layman’s term. The final part of the report included her recommendations for home and school to follow. These have been invaluable. Dr Stephanie has gone above and beyond by attending initial and multiple follow up meetings at my daughter’s school so that my husband & I/teachers/school SENCO and Dr Stephie as Edu Psych collectively can ensure her recommendations are being followed. I cannot recommend Dr Stephanie highly enough.

I found Stephanie on google when we were really struggling with behavioural issues with our 4 year old following the first lockdown. At the point of reaching out we were incredibly stressed and at a loss as to how to make things better for our family. From my first email exchange with Stephanie I was instantly reassured. She showed me straight away that there was another way for us. Stephanie came to assess us as a family and wrote her report. She offered some really helpful hands on tips and advice which have been proven to work. As a mother herself she showed huge empathy to our situation and absolutely no judgement at all. When I think back on those days now it's like it never happened. Whilst we still have issues crop up Stephanie armed us with the tools that we need to nip them in the bud quickly and gave us back our control.

Stephanie assessed our son at nursery and provided an excellent report on his special educational needs and recommended provision which proved extremely useful in securing our son an EHCP. Stephanie was very responsive to our questions and provided her report with only a few weeks notice for which we were very grateful. As well as being extremely knowledgable and professional, Stephanie is also very kind and practical and we are very glad to have found her.
