Excelerate Motorcycle Training

From booking over the phone - posting my pass certificate on instragram the entire experience at Excelerate was outstanding.Professional consistency of a big company with close friendly interactions of a family business. All the team are fantastic to learn/hone and cater for all riders of any experience, Danny and Sophia trained me to ace my A2-A licence with great tips and knowledge to improve my riding !. It speaks volumes to see A riding school where all previous trainees come back to visit after passing their tests on new bikes !. Having just passed my A licence bike test I wanted to say a massive thank you to all of the instructors that I had over the DAS course. Everyone at Excelerate is exceptionally knowledgeable, approachable and down to Earth and this led to a very enjoyable 4 days of training, as well as being exceptionally well prepared for the Mod1 and Mod2 tests and beyond. If you are thinking about learning to ride, be that CBT, DAS or whatever, you really should give Excelerate a ring!

Excelerate was recommended to me as one of the best places to get your bike licence and I was told this was because the instructors there “will really take care of you”. At first I completed my CBT with the Excelerate and always had the intention of obtaining my full A licence at some point. I live in south west London and knew that committing to the Direct Access Course which they provide would require travelling out to Mytchett over the five days (plus the test days) which is a fair way. Having experienced how the instructors were during my CBT, I absolutely knew that this was the school where I wanted to learn how to ride a motorbike.I completed the Direct Access Course from Wednesday to Sunday and had my Module 1 on the Monday. My instructor was Luke, who did a phenomenal job of looking after me given that I had very limited experience on a motorbike, let alone on one with 600cc. He let me in gently starting on a 125cc and by the end of the morning on the first day I was on the road riding the 600cc. At first I seemed to take to riding a motorcycle cautiously and was clearly comfortable but that was mainly down to how Luke was trusting, reassuring and explained things clearly. I had a really great time learning under his instructions.One benefit with Excelerate is that they have exclusive access to the test centre in Farnborough over the weekend. This means that you get to practice the Module 1 and the exercises you must pass before you do the test. I think had they not had this facility, it may have been more challenging for me to pass given that I had little experience before.If you select this school, you may find that you form a connection with the other instructors because they all are incredibly welcoming and supportive. I quite enjoyed how even though Luke instructed me on the majority of the days, you also have Sophia who also gave me guidance and as much as Luke was incredible, Sophia was able to give a different view point on things and was my main support on the test days. You will struggle not to get on with her, she’s brilliant and clearly very good at her job.This review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Diana who fixed up the arrangements for the DAS, ensured the tests were booked and also made rearrangements when I didn’t pass my Module 1 (simply because I went too slowly on the swerve avoidance test, wholly my own fault but passed second time without a problem).This experience for me, with Excelerate and the people there, is up there as one of the best and I was actually slightly disappointed I passed because I didn’t want it to end. I am so pleased the recommendation to use them went beyond what I expected and I can confidently say that if you’re considering using them whether you live locally or 40 miles away like me, then there really is no better place to go. Amazing training school, was with them for my CBT and then DAS, plenty of ride time both on and off road to build up the necessary skills all the trainers are great. Was recommended them by a colleague and I have already recommended them to another colleague.Bikes and gear are well looked after and maintained never once felt unsafe and have come out of it feeling confident.

Excelerate was recommended to me from a family member. The team there were brilliant, very friendly but extremely thorough in all the training from start to finish. Excellent training school !!! From the first moment that you call them and Diana walks through all the options . I did my DAS with them and as my previous CBT had expired I needed to take it . Nigel was the trainer that took me through the whole CBT day and it was a really enjoyable experience. After doing this a couple of months later I started my DAS training. I was a little nervous as it was going to be first time that I was going to ride a geared big bike" . Sofia walked me through every single step of the motorbike and I felt much better about it

Initial booking of my CBT through Ride-To website was great it allowed me to see tests closest to my area and at a price I could afford and by using klarna too.The motorcycle that was chosen for me the YS-125 Yamaha was perfect ride height and comfortable. My motorcycle training was amazing I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I made some rookie mistakes and I couldn’t be happier as I’ve passed my geared 125cc CBT, a big Thankyou to Nigel my instructor who was very kind and patient with me.Thanks again, Erin.

Absolutely buzzing at passing my full bike licence first time and none of it would of been possible without the great team at Excelerate Motorcycle, their aim when training you up is always to achieve perfection that way there is minimal chance of failing even if the nervous try to get the best of you. I would recommend this training school to everyone and anyone. Massive thank you again to all the team down at Excelerate and hopefully we'll see eachother in the near future! I had some experience riding on a 125cc for about a year and recently decided it was finally time to get my full motorcycle licence. I started fresh 5 years later and completed my CBT again with Luke at Excelerate who was a fantastic instructor. He helped me get back into the swing of things with great instruction and sent me on my way for my first day of my DAS training a few days later. Sofia, another instructor, welcomed me with open arms and got me comfortable on the bigger bikes from their fleet of Suzuki SV650's. From there, I received confidence boosting instruction from Sofia while diving into my Mod 1 & Mod 2 training. My training varied on-road and off on their training pad on location. I also has the opportunity to practice my Mod 1 test on the actual training pad at Farnborough Test Center. The entire 4 days of the direct access were so informative, I never felt like I was unprepared when it came to my test days. They are a great bunch of people at Excelerate who will get you riding a motorcycle comfortably and will do a superb job at getting you prepared for those tests.

I can’t praise the team enough! They are extremely professional and helpful.The training is thorough and truly excellent. I was delighted to achieve my aim of getting a full motorcycle license and gain the knowledge and confident to be a safe and proficient motorcyclist.Thank you so much!
