Very nice place to stay for business or pleasure. The Executive rooms are spacious, comfy, clean, and have everything you'd want for a short stay. There was a bit of banging and clunking from the aircon, but it didn't disturb too much. The hotel is in a good location, very close to the river with all its sights, bars and restaurants (including the Millennium Bridge). The bar has great choices and breakfast was plentiful. Would recommend!

I am very happy with the customer service from the staff. My reservation is the condition of the hotel which definitely needs refurbishment. The room was dated and need to be changed.Few issues I found in the room:1) Found a broken USB alarm unit on the table which baffled me. It was literally detached from the connector on the wall. 2) The tiled bathroom floor + room slipper is not a good combination. It is very slippery.3) The glass sit on top of the side bed table need to have anti-slip pads as it slides few times and quite dangerous from my point of view as it slip few times and nearly drop on the floor.4) £15 parking per day is quite expensive. Suggest to have a discount for Hilton member to attract them to stay with Hilton. In summary, as it is current condition I will stays with other hotel chain next time I visit Newcastle as I do not see why I will pay a 4 stars price for a 3 stars accommodation.

This Hilton has so much going for it! It is located just outside the cramped city center yet the local action is just a few minutes walk away.Walking into the spacious lobby, we see fantastic views of the River Tyne and the assortment of interesting bridges. We were greeted by a well-trained front office staff who efficiently got us set up for a great stay. Our room was spacious, quiet, and had a fine view of the Tyne Bridge.Breakfast offerings crossed a wide range of selections. The hotel is located very close to the Red Bridge; so, it is easy to cross the Tyne to get to an assortment of restaurants Quay Side. However, if you're like us and did not book ahead and you find those restaurants too busy, just go back to the hotel. The Windows Restaurant is a fine place to eat. Paula hustles and makes sure everybody provides prompt service with a smile. For fitness activities, try out the well-equipped gym or just go out and start walking/running some laps between the Red bridge and the Millennium Bridge. This is a great hotel with a high performing staff that take care of all of their responsibilities effectively and with a smile.

Amazing hotel for a course or a conference, staff are so well organised for the event. Seamless management and service. Rooms are modern and clean. Fantastic setting and views. I can't think of anywhere I would recommend before this for a large group booking.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The receptionist, Walid who checked us in was so kind and friendly with us. He made use feel very welcome and was fun to chat with. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again. We had access to the executive lounge which had lovely views of Newcastle and was stocked with refreshments and canopy served in the evening. All the staff members were friendly.

Nice hotel and staff doing a good job - but the GM seems to live here (or acts like he does?) - he often takes calls on speaker in the lobby, monopolises staff for his meals/guests, and uses the executive lounge for his own staff interviews. It’s very obvious and it’s unfortunate because his lack of management leads to some avoidable service issues like, not having still water bottles available in large size for nearly a week, and then running out of small sizes too; bathrooms needing care (grout in the shower, mold spots on the ceiling), bedrooms having dusty ceilings and safes with dead batteries, concierge reliably unstaffed. It’s obvious the staff are doing what they can but without proper senior management to enforce standards, what can they achieve? We stay here often when we visit so hoping that next time, there’s some improvements.

A wonderful city hotel, right along the Tyne and steps away from The Glasshouse (formerly The Sage) performing arts centre. Our room was lovely with a fantastic view, and despite being only on the 2nd floor, was very very quiet, no traffic noise whatsoever (the occasional siren, can’t be helped), and no other noises from the hotel, either. Room was lovely and clean, well appointed with a refrigerator and there are large dispensers in the bathroom for shower gel, shampoo, etc. not just dinky sizes. Mattress on the bed a bit too firm for my liking, but I was still able to sleep. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was lovely, and the service was prompt, which we were grateful for, as we were headed to The Glasshouse for a show. The parking is very convenient, right on the hotel grounds, and is very secure. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was a lavish buffet with all the trimmings. Would happily stay again the next time we come to Newcastle for a city break.

Good location, nice reception area. Rooms are very tired however, they need major investment! We arrived on a Friday, we were on the first/second floor directly above some sort of function room. Noise went on until 1am! We should have been notified of this on arrival as we did not end up getting to sleep until 2am! Very poor communication. I would imagine this is common as they hire their function room out to anybody I would assume, take it from me they do not seem monitor the noise.Location was good for us, next to the water where we wanted to be.

Very good location for the hotel, beautiful views across New Castle. Swimming pool for kids, gym, jacuzzi for adults. Very convenient spot to pop into the centre. Looking forward to come back again in the near future.
