Good food, made to one's specific requirements, warm and convivial atmosphere: a small gem of Canterbury! It was the first coffee shop which drew me in, over 7 years ago when moving to the area (I 'm French and so is the owner). I love The Sandwich Bar!

This is a little bit of France! We especially enjoyed the coffee, baguettes and pain aux chocolat. The owner and staff are all wonderfully welcome.

Owner was friendly and enthusiastic. The pan au Chocolat was freshly made with a flaky, buttery crust. Sandwiches were outstanding. Crisp but not hard baguette with generous filling. The size of the bread made a perfect proportion to the filling and the overall sandwich size was perfect. Not small but not too big. Extremely reasonable pricing. Highly recommend the lunch special. Baguette sandwich, drink, and pastry for 6 or 7. My photo doesn't do it justice. salmon and egg

C'est magnifique. Wonderfully friendly service, tasty food and my French is slowly improving. Not just a baguette but a community. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

Awesome little gem. Fabulous breakfast and as we were walking they made a fantastic sandwich and even filled my flask with gorgeous coffee. Thank you so much. You made our day and your cookies were fab.
