Wow. Such a spectacular building, the exterior is rather bland yet stylish - the interior is stunning. The series of murals on the walls highlight the history of Great Britain and the importance of the legal system to treat all equally, protecting individual liberty and upholding justice. Well worth visiting if you get the chance.

‎‍⚖️Breath-taking, Towering Architecture - Must-see in Person‎‍⚖️While I didn't go inside the Old Bailey, the view from the outside was enough to soak in the awe. Photos can't fully capture the architecture--each detail and figure carved into the towering structure. I had to put my camera on 0.5 lens mode just to include the building's full scale in one shot! A few of my favorite details: The replica of Lady Justice on the top, and the motto Defend the Children of the Poor and Punish the Wrongdoer" engraved on the front.I'm an avid gamer and had completed Great Ace Attorney before my trip to London

If you are about to visit some public court hearings be aware you are not allowed to keep a electronic device as Mobile or Laptop. There is no space to leave those. Minimum time to spend inside is 30 minutes.

A truly beautiful piece of architecture inside and out. No photography in the courts or the cells, but a tour will take you to see both. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and amazingly polite. I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone, but don't forget your photo ID and take as little as possible with you as you'll have to take it through airport style security.

Another impressive building that everyone must see. Worth going round the building, other sides are not less beautiful.

The biggest data operation in the UK is to put the huge records this place has on the court proceedings it has witnessed in its various incarnations. Even back in the day when Newgate was the prison that stood on this site (1188 - 1901), there were Sessions here which later became proper criminal hearings. As the Old Bailey, as it has been nicknamed, it has heard some of the most infamous criminal cases, Crippen, Sutcliffe etc...it is though, also a truly magnificent building. Looks glorious in the summer.

Visited the Old Bailey today and the experience was both enlightening and thrilling. The tour covered strict courtroom rules and shared fascinating details. No photography is allowed. Intriguingly, phrases like 'take him down' mean that the defendant is taken back to the cells under the courtroom. It's also noteworthy that individuals are referred to as 'defendants' until proven guilty. Unlike the Royal Courts of Justice or the Supreme Court, Old Bailey has much stricter rules on public access. Do check the guidance and the list of prohibited items before your visit, as rules are very strict. If you're a law enthusiast or simply curious, it's well worth the visit.
