Buchanan Joinery

We have recently had our garage converted by Stevie and Danny and their team. They worked really well, were very professional and were able to accommodate some extras not in our plan too. Would highly recommend them to others.

We had Stephen and his team recently build an extension to the rear of our property. The team were professional and friend throughout and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. Will most definitely use Buchanan Joinery in the future and would highly recommend.

Been working from home due to covid the best part of a year now. After 6 months or so of it, we realised the double garage was a dumping ground and decided to make better use of the space by getting one converted into a workable office space for two of us to work in.The prices we got in from prospective bidders was fairly spread out. Buchanan Joinery wasn't the cheapest but wasn't far off. However, out of all the bids we got, Steve (owner) was one of the few who made the effort to come out, look at the job and speak to us about our requirements and was able to answer any questions we put to him. Of course it can be a bit daunting on what may need to be done, and in our case our concrete garage floor on one side had to be dug up. Nevertheless, Steve had done this before so no issue. The guy who came back cheapest, when asked about his method of digging up the floor, stopped and stuttered and did not fill me with confidence at all. After the face to face meeting, I was comfortable awarding Buchanan Joinery the work.The work itself was programmed for 3 weeks with a start date agreed. The guy whose job it was to cut the floor out, was able to come a week earlier and that part of the job took less than half a day. As a result, Steve and his team were able to start a little bit earlier to crack on with the work of stripping out the old, garage door removal etc. For the build, the joinery workmanship was high quality and any subcontractor which Steve managed (electrician, bricklayer etc) turned up as expected and on time. Throughout this process Steve or one of his colleagues would keep me updated on what was going on and what was going to happen next. If they needed any clarification on something (office door choice for example) or if anything unforeseen, they would openly discuss it with us.Overall, the work was done on time and within budget. I would happily recommend Buchanan Joinery to anyone who is looking to get an extension or any conversion work done in the future.
