Please don’t tell too many people about the fabulous haircuts that Kate provides. She is like a breath of fresh air compared to the 5 or 6 local hair cutters. I only gave it a 5 star review because I couldn’t do 10! Always remember to book early spaces are sometimes hard to come bye.

Great cut at a reasonable price. Katie is lovely and her shop is easy to get to.

Simply the best barbershop in Newbury. Kate is always smiling, friendly and welcoming. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else in town for a cut.

Tucked away in Pound Street, Newbury, is this talking shop with no mention of holidays or pandemics but on occasions a little bit wrong conversations! After my visit my hair is always shorter and my friends tell me that I am a little bit more handsome!

Just had my regular haircut with Kate. She really is excellent. I have been going there for years. She recently suggested a change to my style which I accepted and have been very pleased with. I can’t recommend her highly enough, give her a call or text and see when she can fit you in, quite often the same day.

Newbury is over subscribed with hairdressers and barbers but Kate has always been uniquely something apart from the crowd. Re-imagining the service with bookings only following the pandemic, she remains the most accommodating personable and friendly barber for my son and I. As a one person band be polite and understanding of her sometimes limited availability and you’ll always be well catered for. Can’t remember how long I’ve been a customer but Kate has always cut the hair of my 15yr old son even when he was a wriggling nuisance! Great shop with a calm warm welcoming atmosphere. Always been incredible value when compared with the local opposition. A rare independent find.

Kate is brilliant. Wonderful , cynical sense of humour which suits mine. We usually find something going on in the world to put right. She can cut hair as well
