Fighting Fear is a resourceful community for those that identify as queer. I work with a therapist as well as attend workshops which I’ve found quite beneficial in accepting myself. Keep up the great work!

I receive psychological supervision through Fighting Fear with Saquib and I cannot recommend them enough. Saquib is patient, knowledgeable and compassionate and I have learnt so much through our supervision sessions not only about what to bring to my sessions, but also about myself as a person and as a therapist.Fighting Fear is a wonderful organisation doing fantastic work for the queer community.

I highly recommend Saquib Ahmad as a competent therapist trained in PTSD. I had several sessions with Saquib to help overcome a trauma and if it wasn't for his help, I would probably still be struggling. Saquib is compassionate, has a good listening ears, is great at putting things into perspective and he has taught me many practical tools to deal with PTSD. I had in-person and online sessions, which have both been really useful. There is no doubt that Saquib will be able to support you, regardless of which difficult situation you are going through.

Best trauma therapist I've ever had! I feel completely free to share and space has been held for me by my therapist. The techniques and skills I have gained from the sessions have been life changing. I started my journey with Fighting Fear last year at a wellness seminar in Chiang Mai, Thailand and I have since continued online sessions every week. It's has really helped me through a lot

I was introduced to Fighting Fear through their Drag Brunches on Sunday in Brussels. Both my friend and I enjoyed the first one so much that we immediately decided to join the 2nd one. And we are counting down the days to the next one.We were welcomed with a smile and genuine hospitality that made you feel “at home”, safe and good. What struck me was the diversity of the crowd as well as how harmonious it felt. It was really exciting to meet people from all walks of life, a “queerful” & cheerful mix of backgrounds, personalities, sexualities, nationalities,… Some people have even become friends. It allowed me to authentically and profoundly connect with people who could relate with me and whom I could relate with…The fun aspect with (top notch!) drag and musical performances, amazing food in a beautiful location made it a low-threshold event for me to meet nice people, have easygoing fun and feel good in a safe space. But being a Community by queer people for queer people Fighting Fear provides you with this extra dimension of support. Yes, you can simply enjoy the event but you are also introduced to the services that Fighting Fear and its team of experts provide. Do go on their website to read more about it.I still remember thinking to myself: “Gosh… I wished these Drag Brunches were around when I was still very much lost and confused… not really knowing who I was, what I was, what I was supposed to be, searching, being in the closet… It would’ve helped me so much to find myself but also people like me. Closets would only have been something I’d hide my clothes in but not myself…” So I would highly recommend anyone who is “searching” to give this a try. You will feel deep down that this event can help you step by step to find your inner self and express yourself at your own pace. Your first steps might only lead you to the buffet first, but thanks to the people of Fighting Fear you will feel a little bit like Neil Armstrong because with every step you take it will feel like a small step for you but a giant leap forward for you and your wellbeing.

Fighting Fear is an extraordinary LGBT organization that has truly transformed my life. My experience with their therapy services has been nothing short of life-changing. Through their compassionate therapists, I've been able to navigate the complex terrain of family trauma and coming out with newfound resilience and self-acceptance.What sets Fighting Fear apart is their vibrant and inclusive community. I've had the privilege of attending both fun and serious events organized by the organization, which have made me feel like an integral part of a larger community. This sense of belonging to a tribe has been incredibly empowering, providing me with support and friendship on my journey. In summary, Fighting Fear is a beacon of hope and support for the LGBT community. Their therapy services are transformative, and the sense of belonging they cultivate is invaluable. I'm immensely grateful for the positive changes they've brought into my life.

Fear is not easy. Fear is written many times in how you operate. And you believe that you must live with it, next to it, always with it surrounding you. But then there comes a place, a human, an emotion that changes that. That makes it so much better, that makes everything just make sense. This is that kind of place.

This is a great organization for the lgbtiaq+ community. They offer great mental health support with expert knowledge on queer specific situations. They also host a range of different community building events. I recently had the pleasure of attending a webinar exploring queerness throughout history and it was illuminating to say the least. It was also presented in a much more friendly and personal way than typical webinars. Highly recommend to everyone!
