We have enjoyed many takeaways from Sun Kong over many years but what a disappointment at the tasteless offering on our last visit. Anaemic spare ribs described as barbecued" in reality oven cooked tasteless offerings. Special fried rice

Simply awful tonight.Spare ribs that looked and tasted like they were cooked last week and reheated.Added to this they missed my wife’s order off the order/delivery.Called to complain and ask for the missing order to be resent and they casually said ‘we’re closing now!’ …but will refund.We’ve eaten from here countless times but not sure we will again.No apology, no customer service…just high school kids that don’t give a toss!

Truly excellent service from the team Friday evening 8th September to help with my travel plans. Thank you. The food was excellent too. Will divert off the M6 again just for this :)

Only had a basic egg fried rice curry sauce and chicken. When i ate the chicken if it wasnt hot i would have said it was frozen it was that hard. And the rice was over cooked. The curry sauce was the best part. I wont be going back.

Not one to usually post, have ordered from here sporadically over the last few years, always been an OK Chinese but nothing to shout about, however..... grabbed a last minute take away as was passing last night and have to say food was fantastic!! Not sure what has happened but definitely raised their game. Surprised to see some recent negative reviews on here. Will be trying again very soon to see if it was a one off!!!

It’s a shame to write this as I’ve been getting takeaways from Sun Kong since the 90s. Tonight was by far the worst I’ve ever had. There has been a steady decline in the quality for the last 10 years. The meat has been replaced with cheap meat. The chippy chips replaced with cheap frozen ones. I doing black balls of rice (I hope it’s not gone off) in my fried rice.You need to get your act together fast as many people are asking - ‘What’s happened to Sun Kong?’

A real shameNot been for 6months or so, wish i had read the reviews before going back.We used to like this place.I phoned up to order and was told it would be ready to collect in 20-30mins. I arrived 25mins later and then waited a further 45mins in the shop. After asking twice how long my order will be i was told 5mins.Food was terrible, its also very expensive when you consider i only ordered:Spare ribs bbq and salt n spice (no spice, no flavour)Thai curryChicken fried riceChow mein£38 into the bin.This sounds very picky but there was also a small black bug in the prawn crackers.Will not be returning.
