I highly recommend The Piano Shop Kent. Having previously rented a piano from them and more recently purchased a lovely Yamaha upright piano. Nigel offered us invaluable advice as to what would best suit our needs and helped us to find the right piano.. He was very patient and happy to answer any questions we had. I bought a Yamaha upright piano from Nigel in October 2021. We visited the shop at relative short notice (it can be helpful to let Nigel know you're coming, as he's not always there) and had plenty of time to look around all the beautiful pianos available to hire or buy. Nigel was very patient as I decided between a few of them and was also very helpful when my husband went back in secret to buy me a lovely leather piano stool as a surprise. Delivery of both was very quick and the piano was ours and in our home only a few days later.It has been a long held dream of mine to have my own piano and it hasn't disappointed. I've had it for over a year now and it's just as beautiful as the day we got it. Delighted.

I did a bit of research before visiting The Pinao Shop Kent. This is important to find one who really knows how to rebuild a Steinway grand pianos. Nigel is very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us the privacy to try out all the pianos in the Steinway showroom. We were torn between two Steinway grands, Nigel diligently explained the fine differences between the two and helped us to find our right piano.It was a very pleasant experience. The piano was delivered to our place within a week. We are pleased with the new member of the family! Thank you Nigel.

We wanted an adjustable piano stool to match our baby grand piano. Nigel was very helpful in the telephone and, when I came to the shop, he showed me a good range of stools and the one i bought matched nicely - see picture

Visited the Piano shop on a personal recommendation. Welcomed by Nigel who provided great advice on a wide range of pianos at competitive prices. Nigel also offered advice on the kind of piano with acoustics that would suit the piano's intended location. I chose a lovely Yamaha upright. Prompt and expert delivery. He was spot on with the sound. We're delighted with our new piano!

The encounter with the piano shop kent is really a seredipity for us. We were looking for a Steinway and accidently got to know from a friend that this shop had a rebuilt Steinway O model, so we made the contact. Nigel sounded very friendly and professional on the phone, giving me a lot of details before our visit. On the day of the visit, we were impressed by the look and sound of the piano. The touch was brilliant, and the sound bright and rich at the same time. Although it wasn't new, it pretty much matched everything I would have expected from a new Steinway, with a much smaller price tag. Additionally, we found out that Nigel was a professional pianist himself, which added further credit to what we were buying.The purchase was also very easy, and everything was conducted in a mutually trustful way. We took away the booklet of information including the past history of the piano, and paid by online bank transfer, and the piano was quickly scheduled to be delivered with no hassle. What's more convenient is that Nigel agreed to trade-in our old Yamaha upright, so the whole process was very simple and smooth. And voila! here we are, with a beautiful piano to play on, for many years to come I'm sure.I would strongly recommend this pianoshop to people who are looking to buy a piano. There are actually a lot of stock in the shop of various types and prices. Many of them look outstandingly beautiful. Although I didn't have the time to try them out one by one, I felt the wide range could easily cover most people's need. And, Nigel is extremely helpful in the whole process, including follow-up maintenance advice, and communication has always been quick. This, in my view, gives tremendous confidence to buyers!

We had a fantastic experience at The Piano Shop, first browsing and trying out a few of the upright pianos... then purchasing and having one delivered! While we were in the shop (with our 2yr. old and 4yr. old boys), Nicky was very patient to play several of them for us to compare. We really appreciated all of her time talking us through the different options and Nigel was also very helpful explaining the financing options and sorting our (very prompt!) delivery. What an absolutely wonderful business, we look forward to upgrading as return-customers in the coming years!

My 1911 Pleyel upright has been restored with great care and attention to detail. The case has been returned to its original dark colour, the frame re-strung, the original hammers and dampers retained. Now a delight to play, and indeed to look at, its tone fully restored. The estimate for the work was realistic and adhered to. A first class restoration with first class service.

Great experience overall. Purchased a great quality piano for a reasonable price for mu budget. Delivered the next day! Thank you!
