Flourished Minds

Karen (Chief Executive) is a very passionate and skilled coach who cares deeply about building relationships and improving outcomes for young people, especially those who may be facing challenges at school or home for a variety of reasons.Feedback* from the students and staff I spoke to was 100% positive and they all were left wanting more. Students found Karen to be warm, friendly, caring, knowledgeable, supportive and helpful - enabling them to identify challenges and work towards goals. Students could relate to Karen's similar life experiences and this was seen as powerful and valuable.School staff found Karen to be a highly skilled and flexible coach and communicator who provided a personalised, adaptable approach. The school felt that Karen shared their ethos and values, to be child centred, inclusive, ambitious and restorative. The work Flourished Minds did enabled the school to fill a gap in provision and offer something additional for a some students and also raised awareness of the needs of certain students, helping staff to better understand the challenges faced and allowing them to see the need for a different approach.Karen is great to work with - her enthusiasm for the work is infectious and inspiring!(*I was commissioned by Flouished Minds to undertake an independent evaluation of some of the coaching work they do in a community school in 2022).
