John and Harry did a wonderful job installing three old marble fireplaces to our house, prompt, tidy, professional and would highly recommend. They managed to solve an issue entirely my fault with creative thinking and care. Having shopped around, I couldn't recommend more.

We visited the shop in Sydenham looking for a back for an insert we bought at a salvage yard. We didn't expect to find what we were looking for and imagined the whole process ahead of us to be problematic. Within minutes of talking to John he assured us he could provide the exact type of back we wanted and a hearth and install it all for us for a very competitive price. John, and Harry, made it all so easy and we can't recommend them highly enough. They did a fantastic job and had it all done within a few hours. Thank you both.

Avalon Antique Fireplaces
We had one fireplace replaced and one restored by John and his son. They were efficient, extremely tidy (you couldn't tell bags of brick and dust had been taken out) and very professional. The fireplaces look beautiful and there was minimal disruption to the surrounding plaster and paint. Avalon are SUPER value for money and I would 100% recommend. Forgot about other places in the area, save yourself time and money and go to Avalon.

The guys from Avalon recently came and fitted our Cast Iron lounge fireplace. They did a brilliant job fitting the fireplace itself and a matching hearth - it looks better than we could have imagined! They even gave our old tiles on the front of the fireplace a nice clean and it's really brought them back to life. Great service, very tidy and professional - would highly recommend!

Was really pleased with John’s work. Fitted two marble fireplaces I had moved from another property & restored a boarded up fireplace upstairs. Provided great advice & kindly carried out a number of repairs on the fireplaces that were moved. Great service & well priced.
