My wedding dress needed quite a lot of alterations but Silvia did a fantastic job and the end result was perfect! She put me at ease throughout the whole process and kept me well informed by email. Would highly recommend!

Silvia was very friendly and helpful and the alterations she did to my wedding dress were perfect and just what I wanted. My guests all loved my rainbow bow. Silvia also did alterations to my bridesmaids dresses which made them fit perfectly and my bridesmaids were very happy and comfortable on the day. 100 % recommend.

I've been doing sewing lessons with Silvia for a while now, and it's been great so far. I'm learning a lot, and I definitely feel like I'm making progress each week.Silvia is a fantastic teacher, and clearly has years of experience. I've been improving my fairly basic home sewing skills with her, but I think sewers of all abilities could get a lot out of taking classes with her.It's also been good to try using a professional sewing machine and overlocker, and I'm now feeling more confident about sewing and pattern cutting at home. Silvia is a lovely and patient teacher, and I'd absolutely recommend her!

When I was searching for someone who can sew my wedding dress I was really lucky that I have chosen My Sewing Box in Manchester. The lady Silvia was really nice to me and she fulfilled all my wishes. I wanted a flowing lace wedding dress which isn't easy to make and I only drew her a few pictures of my idea so I was a little bit worried if someone can make it exactly how I want at the beginning but the dress looks absolutely amazing. So I would recommend her to everyone who wants to sew a beautiful dress.

I signed up for a short-course with Sylvia and I can’t recommend enough - she’s very accommodating, an extremely talented dressmaker (and patient teacher), and good fun!It really felt like a collaborative effort and I left with a boned-corset I designed myself (and Sylvia expertly engineered).

Silvia was absolutely phenomenal. I had a really old grandmother’s lace dress that I wanted to wear for my wedding. The material was really delicate and fragile yet Silvia managed to alter it so it fit me perfectly. She is incredibly creative and a real expert. Not only that but she was really easy to get in touch with, and absolutely lovely in person. Thanks again Sylvia!

Silvia worked with me to make my wedding dress. I wanted something non-traditional (ended up with a floor-length sequin gown with sleeves) and from the first meeting, she completely got it.I came armed with a couple of pictures of parts of dresses I liked and we had a great chat. Silvia drew up some great designs and was really patient and encouraging until I got what I wanted. She was great to work with and super creative.The dress was absolutely stunning and absolutely what I wanted. The whole process was super easy and positive. Thank you, Silvia!If you want something fantastic, especially if it's not your run-of-the-mill dress, she's your woman.

I contacted Silvia about the possibility of her making me an outfit for Rocky Horror, she was very enthusiastic about the possibility and we met to discuss it. Silvia is a great person to work with to get exactly what you want in an outfit. We had a further meeting at mock up stage and then a final fitting where little tweeks were made. I am SOOOO pleased with the outfit and have had so many compliments from other Rocky Horror fans about it

Silvia made my wedding dress and did a marvellous job in meeting my requirements. She managed to turn my vision into reality and the outcome was amazing. She is super talented and a joy to work with. I really enjoyed the whole process from the designing to the fittings up unto the final piece. The dress was just what I visualised.
