Snails Pace Bike Hire

Highly recommend this place to start the camel trail. About 12 miles of quiet trail before you hit the busy part.The bikes we rented were great quality. Comfortable ride. Would definitely be back.

We couldn’t recommend Snail’s pace bike hire enough !! We rented 2 bikes and a kids tow along, all in perfect condition, so reasonably priced and cycled a 14 mile round trip with lunch and the pub! We had a great few hours. We thought our 4 year old would tire quickly but he had the best time. Nick was so lovely and helpful, we asked for some advice on a bike size for our son and he was more than happy to help and chat with us. The cakes at the cafe are yummy too.Make sure you pay this place a visit !

Hired a bike & bike seat on Sunday for a bike ride on the Camel trail. Nick was really friendly. Great communication via email/instagram. Bike was in amazing condition. Would 100% recommend and use again. Free parking and lovely little cafe.

We hired bikes from here and cycled over to Wadebridge and back. Nick was very accommodating and knowledgable about bike seats/trailers for children. It’s a beautiful bit of the camel trail, and we would definitely hire bikes from here again! Amazing cake too!

Hired two bikes today. Great friendly professional advice. Brilliant quality bikes (Trek and Raleigh)well maintained and so easy to ride. Great experience all round, great bike hire from Nick (quality well maintained bikes, good value, friendly service) plus some great coffee to start and end our ride. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the crowds. A lovely leisurely 24 mile ride to/from Wadebridge.

We actually went to the wrong cycle hire place after booking 4 bikes on the phone the previous day and paying a £10 deposit. When we arrived and told the guy that we had phoned and booked bikes he told us that it must have been another company as he doesn’t take deposits and does all of his business by email. Luckily he was able to sort us out with 4 perfectly serviced and maintained bikes which he set to the right height for each of us. He showed us a map and explained roughly how long each section should take us. Bikes came with a tool kit, puncture repair kit and bike lock as well as safety helmet. Excellent business.

Five of us borrowed bikes yesterday. Bikes all ready on arrival, quick response to text questions. Super bikes and gel seats. Thank you Nick for your friendly service.
