We are a group of 20 walkers who organised a walk followed by a buffet at the Tap & Spile. The buffet was excellent and value for money. The staff as always were welcoming and friendly, giving us excellent service. The pub also has a good variety of beers on tap.

Popped into this place for a pint while on holiday in the area. It was recommended to us and it turned out to be a good shout. Good old school pub with a decent range of daft beer and a nice atmosphere.

Has won pub of year award 8 years running. Very traditional, good beer, serious dominoes players! Wouldn't take card out of principle, love that. But don't worry they do actually have a card machine.

Great atmosphere. Good cask ales. Had a laugh with barmaid and locals. No food, but they are happy to bring a sandwich in from outside.

A proper boozer in world of glass & stainless steel 'bars'. The best pint of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland!

In a quiet nook in Historic Morpeth I discovered a clever spot known well by locals. Friendly and cozy the atmosphere quickly transformed with the Magpies in action on Saturday afternoon. Needless to say the energy was lively as I enjoyed a sample of cask ales. The welcoming staff even offered a charge for my flagging mobile! Yet another plus as I search Morpeth for more treasure.
