I've been with them a week and can already tell that they're awful. Be aware that if you're planning to live at Glasgow Harbour Terraces: what they market as secure, allocated underground parking is anything but.They have no control over it. Cars (some even belonging to people who don't live there) will take your space and they won't be interested.These issues could easily be resolved, but they simply aren't interested.Very poor company.

Anna in the Edinburgh Office was really helpful and efficient when I had a leak in my property, she responded so fast and helped advise on the best steps to take to sort the issue. Very good service.

H&P are the most expensive factor I've had to deal with. For some reason insurance with them costs more than three times as much as anywhere else.*Update* I already had a discussion about the expensive insurance with H&P some time ago. Their response was that the insurance was competitive (it isn't), and I was not possible to ensure my own property.I don't live in that flat any more. I live in very similar flat built around the same time, in a similar condition. I spend a fraction of what H&P charges for insurance and upkeep. I'm not accusing them of dishonesty, but I am certain they aren't working in the best interests of landlords.

Rebecca responded quickly about the water leak into our flat and arranged a survey and repair within a few days. Her communication was excellent, she understood the problem and resolved it quickly. She was available to contact by phone and email and always got back to us as soon as she could. Could not fault her in any way.

The worst company to deal with E V E R. Can't deal with the easiest issue, reported mice invasion few times already, and issue with argument over the fance with our neighbours. They told me that AS A FACTORS company they can't do anything!!! I have been told that is me who should find a solicitor and speak to remaining 35flats owners about the cost cover!!!The fence neighbours started to be aggressive towards us, and throwing fance parts over to our common garden, which put kids playing there in danger!!!!Mice invasion according to the Factors is a tenants issue, and tenants should secure flats. This is a joke, not a Maintenance Agency!!!

Do not go into any credit with this this company, always pay your invoice upon receipt instead.I stupidly allowed myself to build up credit on the account to the sum of £419. I moved out in March, still haven't received my refund as you need to wait 2 full billing cycles before they'll give you your money back. It's now the middle of August, two billing cycles passed at the start of the month and yet I still await my money!!

Recently H&P have been more than efficient in dealing with some building and lighting challenges with which our development has been faced. Efficient, speedy and diligent while keeping us informed and appraised of all actions throughout. What a good factor should be with Jamie at H&P in particular showing excellent anticipation and diligence, while visiting personally on occasion to scope our problems. As a developement we are very pleased with the service.

Absolutely shocking service, final invoice consisted of an Apportionment fee of 100 + vat for them to basically close the account and liaise with solicitors. Terrible factoring company to deal with so check with neighbours before buying a property under Hacking and Paterson care.23/02/2023In regards to your reply I have spoken to customer relations but again basically being told that you are charging a fee of 100 + vat to do 'admin work'. Clearly I am in the wrong job. Absolutely shocking company to deal with. Just be mindful when purchasing a property who the factoring agent is as Hacking and Paterson are best avoided
