Great gym and community. Having tried a few different gyms I found Professor Ric’s coaching to be the best. He is extremely friendly but clearly a badass and I trust him wholeheartedly to help my wife, kids and I to learn the art of BJJ.I highly recommend dropping in for a session at Gracie Barra Cardiff.

I was looking to start bjj for a while and I found Gracie Barra Cardiff (an organisation with over 800 schools worldwide) on Google. After a brief telephone conversation with Rik he invited me for a session and I've been part of the family since. One of the best thing I ever done. Rik is a fantastic professor and a great guy and everyone in the team is nice and helpful.

Super friendly club with excellent coaching from Professor Rik. As a female member with no previous martial arts experience, I was made to feel very welcome and at ease from day 1. There are women’s changing rooms and the gym is clean with lots of great equipment. There is a well laid out syllabus to follow and a strong emphasis on self-defence. The location is easy to find with good parking. I can’t wait for my children to be old enough so they can join the kids club. Highly recommend dropping in for a free session. 5 stars.

Rik is amazing. So good with the Kids. He is a fantastic instructor and my boys have throughly enjoyed the classes. I would recommend this group to anyone thinking of joining a BJJ club.

Rik is a great teacher and knows his stuff. Goes through the moves in great detail. I have been wanting to do it for years, gave rik a call and knew it was the right place.The classes are well structured, warm up, techniques and drilling and (my favourite) rolling to finish off.All the people there are great, friendly and welcoming! Give it a try!!

Rik is an excellent teacher, goes through each move and sequence thoroughly. Really enjoyable training sessions with a great bunch of people. Would highly recommend to anyone of all ages and backgrounds that want to learn BJJ and self defence.
