Not having any personal contacts to recommend who should fit my oak wooden flooring - all my upstairs area which comprised top hall, 4 bedrooms and also my staircase and bottom floor entrance hall I searched internet and read reviews. I decided to try Fergus at FM - joinery . I made a great choice. Fergus kept in touch through the process . Once I decided on the wood I sat back and FM joinery ensured its order, delivery and fitting. The workmanship is excellent and I am delighted with my floors. I have no hesitation to highly recommend FM JOINERY. You will not be disappointed.

This is the second time we have used Fergus to fit wooden flooring. Cannot fault him, polite, friendly and very very good at his job. The finish is perfect! Everyone that comes into the house comments on the flooring. There was never any doubt in my mind on who we would use when it came to flooring the new extension.

Fergus fitted a hardwood floor in our Hallway in our tenement flat.. The level of workmanship was first class and his pricing was fair. He always left the work area clean and tidy and turned up when he said he would. I would 100% recommend FM Joinery to anyone. Great work!

FM Joinery & Floor Fitting
Fergus recently laid flooring throughout my hall and living room. Communication was good and he came up to undercut the skirtings before laying the floor which gave a lovely, neat finish! I was given a range of wood to choose from and advice as to which would show less marks from heels etc. The job was finished in under 2 days and my flat was left spotless. Fantastic service and I would definitely recommend!

Fergus fitted our herringbone floor throughout the hall, living room and dining room. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations and he helped us source a high quality wood. From first contacting Fergus he was really quick in coming back to us and kept us fully updated with timescales. His pricing was clear and concise. The project remained within budget was completed to schedule. We couldn't be happier with the finished result.

Fergus installed 65m2 of engineered wood flooring throughout the downstairs of my house. He was very helpful and offered advice and suggestions when I first made contact with him. He done an amazing job and clearly takes pride in his work. He removed skirtings and and undercut door frames. The floor runs without any brakes or joins when moving from room to room. He was extremely tidy and left no mess. I would highly recommend him.

Fergus did an excellent job fitting engineered flooring and skirting in my hall. He provided us with samples in advance of the job and also gave us helpful advice and information. The work was carried out to a very high standard, and it took less time than we had anticipated. Fergus fitted 37 sq m of engineered oak flooring for us, across 2 rooms. Took less than 2 full days.Very professional overall - from response to initial enquiry to completion of job.Good suggestions and advice and a firm/agreed start date. We wanted flooring under skirtings for clean/proper finish. Rather than removing/replacing skirtings, Fergus suggested cutting a strip off bottom (in situ). This worked really well - neat fit for flooring and no damage to paintwork or walls/plaster.Overall quality of job is excellent, with good attention to detail, even in difficult/fiddly corners and around radiators. One of the very few tradesmen we’ve had who didn’t cut corners. It’s a thoroughly professional job.

efficient, friendly, reliable and exceptional attention to detail. Delighted with the work these 2 guys completed for us. Engineered, oak herringbone with undercut to skirting. Extra undercutting makes quite a difference to the finish. Well worth doing and well advised by Fergus. Very happy customers.
