trainSharp Cycling

I've known Jon Sharples for many years but this is my first experience as a TrainSharp client. Following a lengthy initial chat, I had a full bike fit with Michael and completed the physiological test with Connor, both of whom are extremely professional and highly expert; I knew I was in excellent hands throughout. (The test is hard but fascinating and actually quite enjoyable in its own masochistic way...) Worth saying I felt completely comfortable even as an avowedly non-competitive rider 'of a certain age'; you definitely don't have to be a racer or aspiring pro (but if you are I can think of no one better to work with). I've now ordered a bike and am contemplating next steps regarding coaching. The whole experience has been incredibly positive and affirming: I can recommend TrainSharp without hesitation.

Train sharp and my specific coach Connor have completely changed my perception of what good looks like.The care and attention to detail they give their clients is second to none.Any bump in the road or set back, they will work around you.There is a very real feeling of kinship and that your coach is on the journey with you.If you are looking to be coached but are unsure. I'd stop here and get on it.

I have known of trainSharp since September 2019, when they invited my son Louie for a fitness assessment. After an hour of being tested he was subsequently offered a place in the new Junior Development Team that the owner Jon Sharples was setting up. trainSharp Coach Alex has been coaching Louie since November and the difference in Lou as a rider, his performance, his mindset and his focus since he has been engaged in a structured training program is phenomenal, and very evident. Louie is developing as a racing cyclist who wants to realise his dream and race his bike professionally. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that given time and his hard work and determination trainSharp will help him achieve this. The whole process, session setting, analysis and feedback is second to none.My own personal experience aside from how I see the work they are putting in to Lou is merely social. All staff are friendly and personable, they have time for their customers, but even more so, are 100% passionate about what they do! Their experience in the world of cycle coaching and developing cyclists is evident from the minute you step in their base just outside Lewes. For anyone wanting to develop as a racing cyclist, trainSharp are all over it and will help you, I can thoroughly not recommend them enough. World Class!

I've used trainSharp for coaching and bike maintenance for a while now.Recently I've used the workshop again after their new head person started. I have been impressed with the speed of service offered, the clarity of the work due to happen and the way I'm kept informed.Got the bike back and can't be happier, the turnaround on the work was so quick and the bike looks neat and rides so well now! After attending a bike fitting recently and had so many improvements made i was so pleased… then As a home mechanic, when I encountered problem that i knew was out of my knowledge. I reached out for help and the mechanic fixed the problem for me within 24hrs. Reasonably priced and thorough. I would recommend their services to anyone that needs help with their Bike fitting or repairs.

trainSharp have been an amazing inspiration to me. This is my 2nd year of having a personalised coaching plan from Connor at trainSharp and my power is up, I'm so much stronger. The one to one feedback I have from my coach helps me work on my strengths and reach the goals ahead. The lab testing was very professional . The bike fit and service was fantastic. Just wanted to share a quick shoutout to Trainsharp - these guys are seriously top notch with bikes! I’m a regular because Dan and the team are on another level. They spot issues before you even notice, handle warranties like total pros, and provide the absolute best service. Plus, if you’re into custom builds, they are experts at that too! My bikes have never been happier!

Bike fitting can be a difficult thing to find and often you can be miss sold parts by business’ trying to make extra sales. My experience at TrainSharp with Connor was very positive. He took time to address small details and listened patiently to the problems I had been having with my fit. You could tell throughout the fit he has a lot of experience in this area and was also kind enough to be accommodating regarding the time and date of the fit subject to my training plans. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others requiring a professional bike fit.
