Trevorrick Farm Holiday Cottages

Amazing holiday, the Owls Roost Cottage was brilliant. I loved having the swimming pool on site (you could book your time each day and have it to yourself, which was lovely). Every morning (except changeover days) Melanie brought out guinea pigs and ducklings and even a newborn chick for the children to hold, and they also led the goats to the field every morning, and you could feed the pigs and the ducks and hens. There were sheep and cows to see, and lots of play equipment for the children to play with. Inside the cottage, Melanie had provided books and games, and even toys appropriate for your child - she asks what they like and finds something suitable! It was stress-free because of the well-equipped kitchen, with everything you could need - even a big picnic lunchbox, cool blocks for the freezer for your picnics and a thermos flask! Melanie also provided things like a step for the sink for children to wash their hands easily, and children's cutlery etc - the little things that just make holidays easier.They were so welcoming to us, with little extra things and great advice about where to go and I left knowing I would definitely come back on holiday here again, we absolutely loved it.

We stayed three nights at Trevorrick Farm cottages in half term mid-February 2022. The weather was wet and windy and it was a few days before the storm Eunice arrived. It was a long drive for us and the children (age 6 and 3) and we were tired when we arrived. However, the moment we met Melanie and drove into the farm, we had forgotten all about that!It was a truly magical experience - the children are STILL talking about it. Waking up and holding newborn lambs - literally born that night and then helping move the sheep into the big field. Feeding the pigs, playing in the playground and walking into Padstow. Just the best location and cannot recommend enough. It is a magical place and felt so lucky to have stumbled upon it.We stayed in Owl's Roost cottage - which was beautifully equipped with everything you could ever need. Lovely, warm and cosy and even a variety of TV for us to watch when the kids were in bed. The biggest treat was opening the cupboard and finding every board game you could wish for and having a games evening plus having freshly laid eggs delivered for our breakfast.This was somewhere where we want to come back to every year. I will be honest I rarely find the time to write reviews but I just recommend this place so much. And Melanie was a true super hero - watching her work so hard on the farm every day yet finding the time to make it so special for us and the girls was truly humbling.

Edit: we stayed again at Trevorrick farm in June 2022, this time in Badgers Way. We had an amazing time again, and really enjoyed the hot tub! Thanks Melanie !!We are a family of four with 18month and 4years old children. We stayed in Serendipity cottage in June 2021. We had a truly fantastic stay. We particularly enjoyed all the animals, from giving veggie leftovers to the piggies to spending time with the guinea pigs or saying hi to the ram. Bottle-feeding the lambs was the kids’ favorite moment of the day. The two playgrounds are perfect, we had a hard time convincing our little ones to leave the farm. The farm itself is very close to the beach and the little town of Padstow (a lovely walk through the fields) where we could enjoy an ice cream or rent bikes. The cottage itself is perfectly equipped, with everything you need for toddlers (bed guards, cot, plastic plates, plenty of toys…). Finally, I cannot highlight enough how kind and caring Melanie is, making sure we all had a great time and taking the kids around the farm. We’ll be back !

Perfect spot for a holiday with children. Clean, well-appointed cottages and a wonderful outdoor playground and indoor pool. Our 4yo loved spending time with the animals and making new friends. Very close to Padstow and handy for exploring the rest of Cornwall. Melanie was a brilliant host and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She somehow knew exactly what kind of toys our son would enjoy playing with and he was over the moon when we arrived to find them waiting for him in the living room. Highly recommended!

We had a really lovely holiday with our 4 year old twins in Trevorrick this August. I cannot thank Melanie enough. She was an exceptional host and works incredibly hard to ensure her guests have everything they need while also taking care of her farm with husband Mike. We stayed in Curlew Cottage which was very clean and comfortable and had so many little touches we loved. From the pretty pictures on the walls to the children's place mats and cutlery you have everything you need for a family stay. The children loved their room which had tractor bedding and the spacious lounge to play in. Melanie even provided some extra toys for them to use which they really enjoyed. The farm itself has two outdoor play areas with lots of toys which the boys found lots of fun - complete with mini farm shop and ride ons. A particular highlight was the daily animal feeding and Guinea pig cuddles. There is also a lovely big indoor swimming pool which was very handy especially on rainy days. The farm is situated a short drive from Padstow which was lovely for wandering by the harbour and enjoying fish and chips and ice creams (the Lobster pot is best ice cream). There is also lots of other places in easy driving distance for families such as Lappa Valley and Screech Animal Sanctuary both of which we all enjoyed. All in all a very special 2 weeks - I'm sure we will return in the future.

We had the most wonderful week at Trevorrick farm. Melanie and Mike were wonderful hosts and always around for a chat and advice or eager to know you’d had a good day.Our cottage was wonderful, spacious, equipped with everything you’d possibly need from night lights for little ones to bed guards and an abundance of toys to keep our little one entertained of an evening. Everything we needed to cook lovely meals and tv or books and games to pass the evening.Around the farm we could spend hours visiting and feeding the animals, playing in the two amazing play areas with so much to play with and encourage little imaginations.We’ve been home 3 weeks and my 2 year old is still running around saying “Hey Sean” as he loved calling the Sean the sheep down to see him each day.Thanks for the most perfect place to make a lifetime of memories.

We have had the most wonderful week at Trevorrick with our two children. The cottage was beautifully presented and spotless. Melanie was fantastic and offered lots of knowledge as to where to go and what to do. Not only this but she took the children to see and feed the animals on the farm ! Thank you for a wonderful week! We have just come back from 5 nights at Trevorrick Farm with our 3.5 yr old and 6mth old.We had a wonderful time, the cottages are really well set up with everything you need for toddlers including loads of toys, puzzles, games etc.What we really enjoyed was how freestyle the place was, there is feeding of the animals in mornings at 9am but you can still wander around the farm and feed sheep, pigs, goats and Guinea pigs at any time of the day. This was great with young kids.There is lots of outdoor play items as well which our daughter enjoyed.This place definitely has a more rustic feel to it then some of other slick farm stays and that’s a positive.Melanie is lovely and she is really passionate about her farm and the area.It would be nice to see more of Mike as wellWe hope to be back again soon!
