The Wee Wine Shop

Such the place to be if you're looking for a good whisky after 8 pm. Thanks to Simone and Jean-Pierre to welcome us during this week in Oban.

Fantastic wine shop by any standard and we are so lucky to have it in Oban. Jean-Pierre and Simone are really friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and make drinking wine even more fun and inclusive. We were lucky enough to go to one of the Wine and cheese tastings one evening last week and it was great. Great wines gins and whiskeys. Looking fwd to many more visits!

The first shop i visited in Oban when i arrived from France was Simone and Jean Pierre 's shop. Sympathics and nices they have excellent choice in whiskies and gin. unforgatable !Hand on the Heart

Saw this shop today and tested the friendly owner and checked his wines. As a Sommelier I am glad to confirm (I don´t get paid for this review) that this shop offers many very good value for money bottles in all price ranges, especially the champagne and the French wines are worth more than one look.

This shop is fantastic! We returned twice and you can't go wrong, from reasonably priced bottles to fine wines, they really pick the best and are so excited to share the love of wine with their customers! The owner is a sommelier - can't beat that. Truly the best wine shop I've been to - wish they would open one in Scottsdale, Arizona (and Skye - need a wine shop there badly).

Fantastic shop, amazing range of wines, some real rarities too. However the highlight is the service! Such an incredible knowledge of all the drinks in the shop, wine and spirits, and so friendly.

This is a great wee shop! Jean-Pierre is very knowledgeable and experienced, and makes very helpful recommendations for wines in a friendly way. An extremely wide selection of wines and also gins.

My husband and I popped in to The Wee Wine shop on Saturday to get a bottle of red to go with our dinner and we were not disappointed! Jean-Pierre is extremely knowledgeable and asked all the right questions in order to recommend the perfect wine pairing for our meal. We were provided with plenty of options, within a range of price points and at no point did we feel under pressure to make a decision or a purchase. The wine we settled on was delicious on its own and even better with our meal - the perfect pairing!The shop does not just sell wine, there are a selection of spirits too. We will certainly be back and will surely be ticking off some of our Christmas shopping here.
