Food was really good. Fresh, tasty and home cooked.A bit rowdy for a lunchtime and the toilets needed cleaning.

Old traditional pub, possibly in need of a bit of updating but the staff are very welcoming and friendly - ready to have a chat. Very popular with locals. Inside it still has the old bar and bar stools which is good to see in a traditional pub, and a good range of draught beers. There is a very large car park with parking spaces for disabled. A ramp up to the door for wheelchairs and wide doors make it very accessible. For the better weather there is a large beer garden, although this is next to the busy main road.Food is basic 'pub grub' with nothing fancy but it was cooked well and very tasty and portions were very large with reasonable prices. The kitchen has a top grade of 5 hygiene rating.TVs with Sky Sports are dotted around and a pool table and dartboard. In all, a great place to while away some time, afternoon or evening.

Absolutely excellent. I would highly recommend this pub. I went for lunch with my daughter. The food was extremely good and reasonably priced. Very good, friendly service and nice atmosphere. We'll certainly be going again.

Nothing special going on here. Typical pub, ok pub grub. Staff and customers friendly enough. Outdoor eating area, and also dog friendly. Personally, I found the sticky tables off putting

Well….. What could I say about this pub.If I could give a minus I would!!We chose this venue for our Xmas lunch from work. 4 of us arrived at 12.00. Empty pub! We ordered within 10 minutes after being informed by the staff that there was no meat. (I know what you’re thinking at this stage. “You should have left”) red flag. However we only had 1 hr so chose the fish n chips option. At 1.05 I asked if our meal was going to be served soon as we were already late back to work and the answer was “we’ve had a power cut” despite all the screens, machines and Xmas light still being on??The meal came 5 mins later. Fish smelt as if it was as off and the chips were soggy and luke warm as if they had been warmed up! Awful!!!It was advertised as a small potion for £12.95. They were true to their word. It was certainly small. In fact I can’t remember seeing such a small potion of food notwithstanding a children’s menu. It’s approx 15/20 years since I was last in this establishment (Funeral)and I kid you not it’s still the same decoration and hasn’t had any renovations or improvements since.Although we were in the bar area for approx 1hr 20 mins there was hardly no one else came into the bar (possibly a couple of people but soon left). No atmosphere at all.Very disappointing visit.I hope it improves for my next schedule visit in 15 yrs.
