Had to pay upfront for a wedding top that ended up being uneven, with a huge sticking out zipper. We were told by Alma that it’s uneven because my wife’s shoulders are uneven, and that there is no possibility of finding a small white hidden zipper anywhere in Brighton so it has to be huge, like for a winter jacket, and stick out. We ended up getting a cheap top from Asos that was 3 sizes too big and having it altered elsewhere, and it looked much better that this bespoke one that was 10 times more expensive. We didn’t get our money back, either.

I went to Alma to get my wedding dress altered and I am so pleased with how well the dress now compliments my figure. She has done an amazing job, she really cares about her work and making sure that your dress fits you perfectly so you look amazing on the day. All of her alterations were so tidy, delicate so much so that no one would know the dress had been altered. She really is passionate and takes pride in her work. I cannot recommend her highly enough and if I ever need any alterations in future I will definitely be going back. Thank you.

Both myself and my wife have used Alma’s on many occasions. She and her staff have always been friendly and courteous and the clothes once altered have been done to the highest standard. Great service and realistic prices. Lovely stuff!
