Alec and the PQA Sunderland team are always supportive towards Katie, passing on all of their knowledge and experience. Katie loves attending PQA every week and the experiences that she has had are invaluable, I can’t imagine anywhere else where she would be able to be part of making movies, performing in our local theatre and, in the near future, performing on a west end stage! We would highly recommend this academy! Thank you all so much.

Both my son and daughter have attended PQA Sunderland for nearly 3 years and they absolutely love it. Their confidence has improved massively since attending. My son has even put himself forward for head boy at school and got a lead role in his school play. This would have been unimaginable before he attended PQA.They both love the film and tv, and comedy and drama sessions. These session differentiate PQA from other drama classes which focus solely on the musical theatre side of things. The kids love a chance to get involved in writing scripts and being hands on with the filming of their masterpieces.

Amazing staff that encourage my daughter in musical theatre, drama, film & tv. She had a fabulous time singing with some of the other students and G4 at Durham Cathedral recently and she has also made extra friends with similar interests. I highly recommend PQA for children with these interests as they help nurture them to their full potential.

I have two children who attend Pauline Quirk Academy (PQA) Sunderland. My 13 yo daughter and 6 yo son both love it. They have different hobbies and personalities but PQA engages them both, it’s like a family. The staff are so passionate about what they do and it resonates with all the children. It’s brilliant that it’s something both my children can do together, they get so much out of it and the performances they hold and opportunities are just out of this world.

My 11 year old daughter absolutely loves PQA sunderland. She has been a member for over a year, during this time her confidence has grown hugely. She has made new friends and had some amazing preforming opportunities. The staff are always so welcoming and fun, at the same time taking the process of perfecting shows seriously. The tools given to ensure you stay up to date and can help your performer stay tuned in are second to none. We love Alec's weekly newsletter that he puts alot of time and effort Into. The thing I like the most about PQA sunderland is that everyone gets a shot. If they want to go for a lead role They can!

My son joined PQA poppets a year ago age 4 and his transformation in confidence has been amazing since joining the group.When he first started he would cling on to me and wouldn't want me to go, now he says bye at the doors and really looks forward to singing and dancing with the other girls and boys. I really believe that PQA has helped him be more confident within himself and this has been a big help when he started school in September. I would recommend PQA poppets to any little ones who love singing and dancing or just need a boost in confidence. The staff are all very lovely and welcoming.

This is a brilliant academy, there are always so many exciting activities and projects to work on. Principal Alec brings so much excitement and enthusiasm to the academy and is always on hand to answer any questions. My daughter has been going for almost a year she has made a lot of good friends and increased in confidence and enjoys demonstrating hew new skills. I would recommend this academy to anyone with children interested in performing arts
