A gem of a place. Great location by the river. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, clean and comfy room. Great just to be able to leave the car in the car park and then an easy walk to the centre of Oxford. Will definitely use again.

Well-located hotel, on the river and just 10 minutes walk from the city centre.Helpful staff and a decent breakfast, but it seems over-priced at £160 per night when the rooms are so small, basic and old-fashioned.

Great location just 10 minutes walk to the city centre. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was really good. We would definitely stay again if coming back to Oxford! Thank you for a wonderful 2 nights.

Great location, just a 5 minute walk to Oxford rain station and 7-10 minute walk into Oxford. Rooms are basic but clean. The breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious. It overlooks the Thames. Excellent value for money.

Always a warm welcome and great service. It's our go to place when we visit our son at Oxford University. Very close to the town centre but located in an area by the Thames with an outdoor area to sit and watch the world go by that is quiet enough to forget you are in a city. The hotel is based in a house built by Thomas Kingerlee who was a master builder and mayor and looking for the buildings he built in Oxford as you walk around is interesting, so the hotel has lots of history associated with it. Breakfast is always great and is made to order. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

We had a very enjoyable stay, and the hotel far exceeds its 2 star rating. The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful in providing a gluten-free breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked. We would definitely re-book and recommend to anyone planning a stay in Oxford.

Very quaint cosy hotel by the river, walkable to everywhere , right across Oxford train station , amazing , cosy, clean room , perfect English breakfast, a gem in Oxford . Love it!!They allowed us to store our luggages till 7 pm, and gave us clear instructions on how to access them through the back door. Thank you.

Great location. A friendly and familiar atmosphere. They prepare an incredible breakfast that they serve in the lounge with a beautiful view of the garden and the river. The staff is friendly and attentive. The owner or manager is especially nice and gives the place special energy. Something to improve: the bathrooms could be cleaned more deeply. We would go back!
