Wide open spaces to go and let the kids run around. Only thing that we didn't like qas that so many people were wanting to bring their dogs in the cafe while they had a drink or light snack but could only sit outside. Would have been nice to have an option of maybe another room even for anyone with pets. Other than that was a great day out.

Beautiful place. Lovely to get back to nature. Simple, unspoiled. Despite the mud from all the heart rain, we enjoyed a stunning autumnal walk. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love coming here for walks, bringing the kids out, they enjoy playing in the sand pit in the summer and the park is nice a bit different to normal parks. Lovely place to explore. Have been here for a wedding also! The marquee is great for small weddings and events. Brought my child to a pond dipping event here also which she thoroughly enjoyed!

Fantastic place to visit for the kids, family and even dogs! Annual parking passes can be purchased for £35 (correct at the time of writing). Plenty of parking, and lovely walks around the area, there is a Larage accessible playground, soft play, bird watching spots, events on, birds of prey, gift shop and cafe on the site too. There are some lovely sculptures all around different wooden animals and insects.Check online for the variety of events they do, a lot of Kid friendly things! Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful on site.A fantastic Parkrun on a Saturday at 9am too - the core team are so friendly and supportive!*I believe there are also other running events happening in the near future aswell

Lovely place to go alone or with family. Big forest to have those wonderful long walks. Maps are available for short or long walks. Far away from the city's busyness. Lovely staff. Very big spacious playground for kids and an indoor ball playground for as little £2-3 per hour. Highly recommended.

Really good muddy walk! Children enjoyed the woods and seeing lots of different wildlife including birds of prey. Good play area for smaller children. The cafe had lovely fresh food which is well priced.Just be aware that the card machine can sometimes be down, so it's best to bring some cash along. And if you're planning to walk around the outside, it's a good idea to wear wellies, as the paths do get quite muddy.
