Simon Houlding sorted out a problem for me today, no fuss and a very reasonable charge. He put right a problem I had with Plumbs that they wouldn't even consider looking at. Suffice to say, I'll know where to go when next I need a high calibre upholsterer! Excellent service. XXX

Excellent service and high quality craftsmanship.Simon and his team invited me to their workshop showroom for a consultation for a bespoke blind I wished for my living room. They were thoughtful to our requirements and had a large collection of high quality fabric samples. Simon visited my home to measure and fit on completion. We are really pleased with the end product which is now a focal point of the room.we will be using his services again for our home and recommend to our friends and family.

I cannot recommend Simon and the team highly enough. We wanted bespoke banquette seating for our kitchen so it all had to be made to measure. The choice of fabrics at the shop is incredible and we spent a long time deciding on what we wanted. Simon was really helpful and patient, we felt like nothing was too much trouble and his advice on quality and the selection we made was reassuring. We knew what we wanted but Simon was brilliant in giving us his experienced advice like when it came to the width of the panels on the back of our bench seat, what we wanted would have been too thin but he advised what would look good and it was a good job we listened because the end result is amazing. The finish of the seating and service we received are superb. We will be returning again and again as needed!

After having great service and results for some curtains and upholstery for ourselves, I asked Simon to quote for a bigger project at our church hall. He and his team did a wonderful job and solved a few difficult issues with the new tracking. Highly recommended.

We recently had two sofas re-upholstered, new curtains and a footstool made by Simon Houlding Upholstery. The experience from start to finish was superb. Simon and Ruth visited our home with books of fabric samples but, more importantly professionalism and expertise. Ruth’s experience in design helped us select fabrics and wall colours. The fabric for the curtains was completely outside of our comfort zone but with Ruth’s patient guidance we were persuaded that the material was an excellent choice with the fabric selected for the sofas. We were not disappointed! The footstool is nothing but fabulous it knits together the colour scheme and is a statement piece of furniture. Our living space has been completely transformed and we are delighted with the results. The workmanship and attention to detail provided by Simon and his team deserves the highest praise. We have no hesitation in strongly recommending Simon Houlding Upholstery for all upholstery and curtains needs and will certainly use them again.

I had an idea for seating in our kitchen, but Simon Holding Upholstery brought it to life. I must say I didn’t expect it to be as brilliant as it is. To start, they created the frame for our banquette seating, which was made with precision – exactly to fit in the space. It wasn’t long before the entire banquette was upholstered and it was ready to install and fitted beautifully by Mike. So much care was taken from start to finish, overseen by Simon, with his eye for perfection and flair. I can’t recommend Simon Holding Upholstery enough. They were friendly, creative and produced our seating beyond expectations.

Simon gave us some brilliant advice on making bespoke cushions for a bench seat. He checked all the measurements carefully and provided us with a huge range of fabrics to choose from. The finished result is exactly what we wanted and is so comfortable and beautifully finished, with great attention to detail. Would highly recommend.

We had our dining chairs re-upholstered. Simon provided a very quick quote by e-mail, also accurately letting us know how much fabric we'd require.He and his team were very friendly and knowledgeable with a lovely in-house studio. They have thousands of fabric samples to choose from, though are also happy for you to supply your own (for a fee) as we did on this occasion.Simon returned our newly upholstered seats to our house and fitted them back to the chair frames. They look great - we're really pleased and will be working with him again.
