The Peak Climbing School

Just had a fantastic family day with Sean and Matt as our instructor's. It was brilliant, weather not ideal but that didn't matter great instruction and great fun. Kids (age 10,11 and two 13 year olds) loved it and all want to go back. Did combination of weaselling, climbing and abseiling. If you are in the area and want to try out some climbing then definitely contact these guys.

Mike, our instructor, was fantastic. He covered a load of things and taylored the day to what we wanted. Given the weather we had, he picked some great routes to suit our ability. They gave us a great warm-up to start with, then more challenging as the course went on. Highly recommend

This is a great place for beginners and people with experience alike. Had great fun with our coach Jack. He made it such a lovely experience for someone who has no previous exposure to climbing was nice and easy and he had so much patience. Highly recommend. Lovely day out. With beautiful views

Had a really fun filled day with our teenagers. We went on a family introduction to climbing day with Nick. Started off practicing at some bouldering before moving on to climbing then abseiling. The nice thing about this school is they teach you the skills you need such as belaying and how to tie on to a rope with a view to you being able to go climbing without an instructor as well as providing all the necessary equipment. Nick was very knowledgeable and friendly and he was great with our kids. Worth every penny.

Had the most amazing day yesterday with the Peak Climbing School. Very professional and well organized. We did the family climbing day with our teenage boys and they both agreed it was a fantastic day. We all loved the bouldering, rock climbing and weaseling. The tuition from Matty was great and we all made good progress. The guys at the school are really friendly and supportive and tailor the day to the level and experience of the group. Will definitely come back and do more!

Had an amazing day with my 12 &15 year old daughters, scrambling, rock climbing and abseiling. Nick the instructor was fantastic, not only was he extremely Knowledgeable but he was patient and encouraging. We didn’t just do the activities but were provided with so many new skills actually teaching us as we went and answering all the girls questions. Brilliant, we will all be back!

My brother and I (30 and 33 respectively) recently did the Becoming Independent climbing course over two days and had a brilliant time. We had done a little bit of indoor climbing before (mostly bouldering) and wanted to be able to understand how we could take that outdoors to climb some real rock. Our instructor Nick initially took some time getting to know us and our abilities/aspirations and then was able to tailor the course to suit us - even making adjustments when the weather conditions deteriorated. At the very end we had a really good debrief on what our next steps outside of the school might be and whether other course might be suitable for us. We loved it and will be booking onto a learning to lead course in the new year.Our instructor Nick was fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly and did his best to maximise the time available to get us climbing routes I didn't think we would have been ready for prior to the course. I've been wanting a company like Peak Climbing school to exist for ages and will definitely be using them again and recommending to everyone.

My wife and I did the 3 day winter mountaineering intro course with Stu and it was excellent. We’ve come away with loads of useful tools, easy to remember rules, and just a better sense of judgement about the harsh winter environment.Stu is really friendly and knowledgeable, adapted the agenda to match us perfectly, and is just a really nice guy with lots of interesting stories and knowledge.We fully intend to book another course.
