Pinderfields Hospital Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC))

I spent 8 hours in total here yesterday just for one blood test and a 5 minute consultation with a doctor. We then had to come back the following day for a scan, so so much for “same day” care. So far on day two we have been waiting 4 hours and have had one scan and one blood test, so 12 hours so far and still waiting. And I am not the only one. There are quite a few people here who were also here yesterday. So much for this “streamlined” service (their words, not mine). Goodness knows how long it might have taken without that! At least we have had 12 hours to make new friends - although, to be honest, they all seem rather miserable. I wonder why that might be?
