Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club

It was my worst scotish experience so far. I do not even know where to start the list of things that were wrong?- dirty rooms with stained bedding, sticky surfaces and unemptied bins.- musty smell everywhere.- overcoked meals served during breakfast.Avoid this place at any cost!

Lack of a much needed refurb. Food great and the staff were excellent but I am convinced they are college placement going by their tender years. The restaurant has no obvious maitre d' so little things go wrong. Towels were refreshed daily.

We were picking some blue flowers, touched a rock and it was 1973 in our room. Hall smelled of mildew, no fans in the bathrooms, no wonder... Receptionist more interested in her smart phone than customers. Evidently there are a couple of nice rooms. Breakfast was great!

No problems or faults. The staff were amazing. Breakfast was buffet system and was lovely and warm and was always filled up. The location, building and services are amazing. The swimming pool and jacuzzi helped relaxed after a hike up Ben Nevis the night before. Changing areas and showers were exceptionally clean....thanks for a great stay, will definitely be returning ☺

Room was discussing with damp on the wall. We chose room with Mountain View - got room with massive tree outside and no view at all. Bathroom was not cleaned, dirty towels were picked up and put back on instead of replacing them. Kettle was discussing not cleaned for ages. Defo first and last time! Not mentioning that hotel booked us with wrong room standard where before coming we had 2 telephone conversation to double check if our reservation was definitely upgraded correctly!

We stayed one night as a family of five in two separate rooms. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. It's a great location for Fort William and Ben Nevis, plus there are a few eateries and shops on the same road. The staff were welcoming. My email booking had said breakfast was included but sadly it wasn't so we ate elsewhere. The only other downside was that the pool and hot tub were cold on the day we arrived and then closed the next day due to an electricity outage! After a week of camping we'd been looking forward to a swim so that was a little disappointing.

We booked the hotel knowing its current rating (3.4); however, once we were settled into the hotel, we struggled to see how others have not rated the hotel 5 stars! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and sociable, the room and views we had were fantastic for the price we paid, and the spa was great... The only feedback I would give is at breakfast put a lid on any jugs, so dust and hairs don't fall into the jug I.e. milk - put me off having cereal.

I recently stayed at the Ben Nevis Hotel and Leisure Club from September 29th to October 1st, booking three rooms. Unfortunately, my overall experience was quite disappointing.All three rooms exhibited various issues including mould, dampness, and a pervasive musty odor. One of the rooms had no heating, which made the stay uncomfortable. Dust was prevalent throughout, even on the walls. The roller blinds were broken, and there was mould in the bathroom, with no ventilation to alleviate the issue. Furthermore, there was an excessive amount of dust and debris in the bathroom extractor fan, which also did not function properly.The carpets in the rooms were stained and damaged, giving the impression of poor cleanliness. The restaurant experience was also subpar, with dirty plates and cutlery. Many bulbs were missing from the lamps, and the TV remote was broken and hastily taped together as a makeshift solution. Additionally, the rooms were noisy, and corridor doors were challenging to open.Lastly, I observed poor external wall conditions, which raised concerns about the overall maintenance of the property. This experience was far from what I expected from a hotel of this caliber, and I hope that these issues can be addressed to enhance future guests' stays.

Adequate accommodation but rooms not cleaned every day. Meals okay with reasonable choice, Only complaint at breakfast they could do with more staff in attendance as food kept running out as there were several bus loads on stop overs and only 2 staff trying to cope. Swimming pool and sauna with gym facilities very handy. Hotel about 20 minutes walk from Fort William main street. On a clear day lovely view of Ben Nevis from the front of the hotel.
