We first came accross Yurt Maker on recommendation from a friend, whilst looking for a yurt to hold our wedding. They're a small family run business (Henry & Mary, husband & wife), experts in yurts and a lovely bunch to work with. Firstly, liaising with Mary (who was very helpful with lots of initial questions) we booked the 'gurt yurt' wedding package in January 2019 and paid the deposit, for our May 2020 wedding. We went along to a wedding fair to see one of their yurts in real life and met Henry who was very helpful and explained options to us. On the run up to May Henry came out to do a site visit to measure out & check positioning etc. Unfortutunately given the circumstances with covid-19 the country soon went into lockdown and we were forced to cancel our May 2020 wedding, we worked together with Yurt Maker to find another date and postponed to October 2020 feeling hopeful... restrictions on wedding guest numbers were implemented meaning we were going to have to massively downsize our day which Yurt Maker were happy to work with us with which was great. However more government rules were put into place in September meaning our yurt wedding on private land was now not allowed. In the end we unfortunately had to cancel our yurt wedding.Throughout the rollercoaster year of 2020 Yurt Maker have been incredibly understanding and empathetic with us - which is a lot more than can be said for many other wedding suppliers given the circumstances. Thank you, it really means a lot and we're so glad we managed to reach a more than amicable agreement.What a fantastic little company with exceptional customer service. We definitely hope to book your yurts for something in the future! For anyone thinking about having one for a wedding or celebration go and check them out, they are absolutely stunning!Ps. We went on a little weekend away in summer 2019 and stayed in a little yurt in Wales - we only realised after it was booked that it was made by Yurt Maker! It was amazing - and made us want to buy a little one for our future garden (one day!!!)

Henry and his team recently supplied us with a wonderful yurt for our family celebration gathering which has been in the making for many months but due to COVID had to be postponed more than once. I really can't express how wonderful it has been working with Henry and the team they have been incredible, understanding, very professional and passionate about what they do and the service they provide to their client. Henry really took the time to understand what we needed, how we would like to yurt to look, it was a truly personable service. I absolutely would not hesitate to use and or recommend the YURTmaker. The yurt was beautiful, so cosy and stylish inside and outside. 100% recommend and would definitely be using again, thank you for providing a high quality service, product and experience. You have the choice of a log burner if required which due to the weather we didn’t but if we wanted the yurt for colder weather we will definitely try with the log burner for another experience. A wedding in YURTmaker's yurts are a truly magical thing.We got caught up in covid wedding delays, having booked the yurt in 2019 for a 2020 wedding. We made the decision to have a small wedding in 2021, then have the big reception in the yurt in 2022. After the 2021 wedding ceremony, we sort of fell out of love with doing the big reception, we felt like it might feel like a 21st but we were so wrong.The closer we got, the more excited we become and when the yurt went up we just knew we’d made the right decision to have the big do. We genuinely had the time of our lives, and so did all of our guests, and a huge part of that was down to the atmosphere Henry's beautiful yurts create – so stunning, perfectly informal and the perfect size. So THANK YOU YURTmaker!It was also a joy having the building team there in the lead up and the days after – I think my dad would quite like to join the team although I’m sure he’d slow the process considerably by chatting constantly. Everyone involved is so interesting and interested - such an added bonus.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the yurt to any and everyone I know! So memorable, so joyful.

At Alcott Weddings & Events we have used The Yurt Maker on many occasions and they are a very professional company which offer great Yurts. They are so stunning and we have had couples use them for their receptions, ceremony rooms and corporate companies for their dance space. We would highly recommend them.

We hired two yurts for our wedding, they looked incredible and we're perfectly kitted out. Henry and his team were fantastic; from discussing which package would best suit us, to booking, to set up, to taking everything down. They we're really helpful, flexible and personable.
