We never expected Michelin quality in a Hotel pub, but pleasantly surprised! Of the 6 fish dinners that I enjoyed in Scotland, the blackened trout was the best by far. I wish we were in the area longer so that we could eat here tomorrow. My fiancé enjoyed the pasta which had a great combination of flavors. Our compliments to the chef!

We stayed for two days but ate dinner elsewhere, however I noticed there is neither venison nor lamb on the dinner menu.The room was fine with the walk in shower a tad on the small side but quite usable.Breakfast was served in the dining room and was delicious. Good porridge with honey and cream followed by a good choice of cooked offerings.

Lovely hotel and room. Only a minor criticism but dining doesn’t feel like a special experience, basically in bar areas but that aside a lovely hotel.

Strong contender for the worst pub I’ve ever been to. 14 quid for two pints and a packet of crisps, rude staff and relegated to a corner despite the place being empty. Based on other reviews, looking forward to the owners sarcastic response, guess that’s one way to hide from reality..

Absolutely lovely. Everything from the room, the food, the whiskey knowledge, the staff. You can tell the thought and care put in to every inch of this wonderful hotel.

Really cool old school hotel. Great atmosphere and service. The breakfast was top notch. Dinner was a bit more hit and miss, my wife got a great duck meal, my burger was a little simple.Rooms are fine,but no wifi on the top floor.Really nice bar and super cool staff

We had a great stay at this hotel. Really charming bed and breakfast style hotel conveniently located for our journey around the highlands. The rooms were clean and we really appreciated the attention to detail. The breakfast was delicious and is included in the rate. Only complaint is that we didn’t get to meet the witty person responding to the negative reviews.

Staff are spectacular! Such a friendly greeting every time I’m there. I love this place in the Great Glen, it’s a wonderful bolthole to see other places in the area. Staff cannot nicer!

Dropped in for lunch. Burgers were delicious & juicy, and the onion rings are not to be missed! Service also excellent. We were lucky enough to meet the google-review-famous ‘grumpy landlord’ who is decidedly not grumpy and is in fact a pleasure to chat to and very attentive. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.
