I love Dartmouth naval collage, full of history and the pace my son started his naval journey as an officer.....so proud

Went on the guided tour.We met the guide at the Royal Avenue Garden fountains and then got on the tour bus that took us to the college.Our guide was excellent, a former Wren, very engaging.It was fascinating listening to the history of the place.I would have liked to view a classroom and get more insight on cadet training schedules etc, maybe there would be security issues around that though.

Not bad, they threw me in a pool with a pair of overalls on and made me do the Bleep test. 9/10 would get shouted at for being slow again.In all seriousness though I've lived in the Dartmouth area all my young life, since then I've travelled enough to tell you a thing or two about beauty and pride and even though I've never really trained their myself and only know a few that have, the BRNC is something else, the discipline and beauty of the halls and the people that call them home is beyond exemplary.

Our guide was a fountain of knowledge and very entertaining.You can only visit as part of an organised tour booked through the Tourist Information Office [--] and these are on Wednesdays and Saturdays or Sundays ,April to October, they are not available every week so i'd recommend calling them to check if you want to try and tie in your trip with visiting the college.You must have a ticket issued by us to go on a tour, will need to take Photographic ID with you and be prepared to have your bags checked. We can take bookings up to 2 weeks in advance.

I have not visited Dartmouth but want to go there sometime next month.

Excellent place to visit

i received my rigorous naval cadet training in BRNC for 1 year from January till December 1964 and returned to Malaysia as a Midshipman.Through my career as a Naval Officer on board ships and bases, I returned to London as Naval Adviser to the Malaysian High Commissioner at the Malysian High Commission, 45 Belgrave Square, London W1 from 1975 till 1978.In response to the invitation to attend the Passing Out Parade of Naval Cadets of he BRNC in December 1977, I had the opportunity, with pride and honour, to represent HE The High Commissioner to witness the Passing Out Parade of Naval Cadet Amdan Kurish. Today, Laksamana Datp' Amdan Kurish holds the appointment as The Director General, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Authority.

I went to BRNC in September 1985 to August 1986. Again in April 1987. It was an exceptional experience in my young years
