Andy's Guitar Tuition

Andy is a very talented guitar player and an excellent teacher. He is very patient and explains everything really well.My daughter has only had a few lessons but has made lots of progress and is enjoying every minute. Andy manages to fit a lot into a half hour lesson, which gives her plenty to practice. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend him as a teacher.

Andy has been my guitar tutor for 3 years and I have been really impressed with his knowledge and how he has helped me improve my playing skills. He encourages you to challenge yourself but will also help you play your favourite songs. I have always felt comfortable going to him and I would strongly recommend him as a tutor.

I’ve been having lessons with Andy for a couple months now, and I can already see an improvement.Very laid back and easy going lessons, with the openness to guide you in which ever musical genre you’d like to play and broaden your skills.Andy is very friendly and chatty which puts you at ease with no pressure during the lessons, and has always been there to advise me on guitar related accessories and equipment even out of my lesson time.As a beginner guitarist I would highly recommend to anyone

As a less young!! Pupil.. I find Andys tutoring style works perfectly for me. He is patient and encouraging and is showing me the right way to learn guitar - not necessarily the easiest way - but it works for me. I find his lessons engaging and the 'homework' stretching but definitely do-able. His tips and guidance help me want to practice, to learn more, to improve. Its not learning by rote, there's room to express myself too - to add musicality to the things I am learning. All this in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Wish I'd signed up years ago. I heartily recommend Andy if your thinking about learning guitar - the Internet can only take you so far!! Give him a go, you might just find you really enjoy it.

I started lessons with Andy 7 months ago as a total beginner, I can now play along to about 5 or 6 songs all the way through and am always looking forward to what I will learn next. Started lessons with the hubby over a year ago as it’s something we’ve always fancied learning. Really look forward to our weekly sessions. Andy is a talented player who can teach us the basics to almost any rift we want to learn. The sessions are enjoyable and good value for money. Lockdown didn’t stop us from learning as Andy was still able to conduct lesson via the use of technology. Would highly recommend!!

I started learning with Andy around eighteen months ago. I can honestly say, that I never imagined that my knowledge (both practical and theoretical) would be as advanced as it is now. Andy is patient, always explaining things fully, friendly and totally professional. He explains guitar music in a way that even the total novice may understand and he sets pieces for practice that are not only enjoyable., but that stretch one’s abilities, thereby ensuring organic progress. He never rushes and gives sound, effective advice that enables the learner to gain confidence and expertise. Learning the guitar is not easy and is a team effort. Andy certainly plays his part - it is then up to the pupil to practice to enable progress. I cannot recommend him highly enough.Bob Hood
