Tay Viaduct

Took the footpath by the rail line on the Viaduct to get to Kinnoull Hill. Surprising how close the trains come. On a calm day get a great view up the Tay and a more pleasant way of getting to the start of the walk than taking the road over the Queens Bridge / South Street.

Amazing, amazing, amazing.Crossing this bridge took about one hour for me because of the beauty of nature around it. Amazing and spectacular views.

Excellent feature for the city.Sharing the railway bridge with a footway is a practically unique feature. Popular with locals and visitors. The only way to visit Moncrieffe Island. Evidence of Beavers. Chewed trees on the riverbank.Riverwalk, allotments and a Golf Course.Visiting Perth over the years I always park at Rodney Gardens.Easy access to viaduct from car park.Well worth a visit.
