Used to go here all the time and it was good, when i started earning more money i started getting my coffee at Costa. But i still liked their pastries, bakes and sandwiches. But now that i wasn't ordering their coffee anymore i got treated badly. I got called a traitor (jokingly, but you know) several times and they were short (no hello or thank you).if it was a coffee place id understand but they sell a lot of food and are famous for it. I would have still gone there every week but i don't dare anymore. It's really a shame as i like their food.

Not a bad little Greggs just every time I seem to go in here they don't have a large sandwich selection in stock, and the prices of crept up a little bit higher than other competitive bakeries in my area.

Been coming here regularly for years but it's really gone down hill lately, the shelves are always empty and the new staff are less than helpful...waste of time even going there...last 3 times they have had nothing vegetarian to eat....why are you cooking the bare minimum?

The older staff tend to be a lot less competent that the younger,Forgetting items etc, charging for the wrong itemsPolite enough but not switched on in my opinion.More focused on talking to their colleagues about how they're going deaf than what the customer wants. Then acting like it's your fault when you say something about it,Very badly managed.

Too expensive for what they serve. After a certain time of the day any items that have been sitting in the display cabinet can't be warmed up as the food isn't hot anymore, I mean who wants a barely warm sausage roll?

10:11 a.m.Customer in front 2 Sausage rolls please " . Sorry sold out they'll be 15 mins. It's always busy this time of morning. My turn bacon and omelette roll.Yet again no omelette. We sold out mate. Ok "I'll just have bacon ". 5 minutes mate.Okay just have a latte. Amazingly enough they had that.Maybe a bit of forward planning regarding stock control and food preparation are in order. This is pretty much the norm for this particular outlet."

I rarely buy anything from here as I think they are hugely overpriced for the quality they put out. The kids like pasties though so if we happen to be passing a Greggs with them around lunchtime then that is generally the only reason we stop there. Otherwise I'll try to convince them to wait until we get somewhere else.In fact, the youngest is now deciding that the amount of grease in the pasties and sausage rolls is giving him a bad tummy so we've now got an extra reason to keep walking. If it wasn't for the staff 'usually' being polite then this would have received one star.I think Greggs are going through a phase of trying to portray themselves as a place to buy good quality food simply by hiking their prices to match their competitors, but without actually providing better quality. I wonder how long this will last? Also, there is no consistency. You have to check each roll to make sure you're not buying something that is missing key filling (I've bought a chicken and bacon roll only to find just one, tiny piece of bacon hidden in the middle - just one example) and you can get a mixture of hot and freezing cold bakes such as my last visit when the chicken were stone cold while the corned beef were still hot. Pricing seems hefty when there is no guarantee that you're going to get what you're expecting.I know they do well for money now that they managed to get a lot of free advertising when they announced they would no longer be selling pasties, only for it to transpire that they would actually still be selling them but now they are called bakes, but I think it will only take a new competitor to come into the market to throw them off the rails.A bit of a ramble I know, and this was meant to be solely about an experience on a particular day but my overall opinion of Greggs (an opinion created by them) contributes to my experience each time I buy anything from there.
