Excellent bed and breakfast. Stayed in one of the self catering flats while working in the area. Spotlessly clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views over the stunning Roker beach. Will be coming back if in the area again.

Hi all,I have used the Abbey Guest House over the past 20 years for family and friends from Germany who came over to visit me. With plenty of notice, as it is popular, we have managed to occupy nearly every room due to group sizes and family constellation over the years. FaceTiming their German friends and using the internet in general is alway a big must for the teenagers in our family and has never been a problem. The breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are big, bright and very clean, with spectacular views over Roker beach, the sea and the piers. My family and friends love it and can't wait to be greeted by family Hardy at the Abbey Guest House again.

The pathetic experience its Wi-Fi connection. It's horrible! But location is no dought beautiful.Room is not specious.Connection to the city center through stagecoach is good.

This is a lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good. Nothing too much trouble. The owners and staff are very friendly.

Me and my husband was given a lovely welcome by the lady that ran the Abbey Guest House,the room was very clean and tidy,a lovely place to relax and stay,we rang up the day before just on the off chance of a room,a well worth stay I really recommend this place.
