I had a really enjoyable meal with friends at this restaurant we had the hanging meat mixed chicken lamb and pork we all had sagres to follow i strongly recommend this restaurant the owner Joe was a really nice gent and very helpful

Simply beautiful! Great food, helpful friendly service, generous portions, reasonable prices and wood burners to make it cosy on a chilly night. Try the espetada washed down with excellent reasonanly priced house wine. This is a hidden gem which is bound to get more and more repeat custom as it is discovered to be a warm, comfortable venue to enjoy delicious Portuguese cuisine, early or late, weeknights or weekends. I love this place!

we had a meal last night at this new restaurant which also opens during the day for lunch up to 3pm and does take aways too. it's not in an obvious part of Cardiff but is opposite the wonderful Madhav - an institution in Riverside - and near the city centre where sadly there are far too many chains. This place is distinct. The food is authentic and fresh and huge portions. They have a varied array of starters which are delicious. We shared chickpeas 3 ways, one of which was the best falafel I have ever tasted; salt cod fish cakes and potato cakes all of which came with fresh salad. They also do sardines and fresh fish daily. The blanch bait was also light and delicious. For mains my son had chicken in a creamy sauce which he loved. We shared skewers which were cooked to perfection in the special grill - and are then hung on long metal holders at your table so you can help yourself. The jerk chicken on the bone was also succulent and there are chilli dipping sauces for those who like a little extra heat. It's a place where you don't feel rushed at all and is also very child friendly. They have room for parties and they sell a selection of Portuguese wines. And the other good thing is that it's all very reasonably priced. A great new addition to the area. The owners are welcoming and make sure you have everything you need. We will for sure go back for more.

This is a lovely place, the chef cooks lovely food and sources most of his ingredients locally (welsh lamb and beef for instance). The chef is really friendly, enthusiastic and helpful, I would definitely recommend coming here
