I went to Boots Opticians Bangor today hoping to order some prescription sunglasses ready for a holiday. Einir, who served me advised me that there was a chance I may be too late and not receive my glasses in time but did everything she could to help me, including phoning the Llandudno branch to get them to fax through my prescription urgently so that I could make my order before I went back to work. I may not get my sunglasses in time, but the service I received from Einir today was friendly, professional and proactive and I left feeling sure that she had done her best for me.

I arrived with a sore eye after a contact lens problem and was seen by an optician within minutes - for free under the WEPS scheme. The staff were polite and friendly and looked after me very well. I bought medication as advised from the pharmacy also in the Boots and was served promptly.

Always kept waiting.Staff not very informative about information.Having to wait 3 weeks for my glasses and contact lenses (and I had to phone up asking were they were) is ridiculous, I’m paying £40 for 3 weeks of waiting with no contact lenses!

The examiners were both very thorough and very professional, they even managed to tell me something about my eyes that Specsavers had failed to mention on several occasions. The lady that helped me with my glasses was also very helpful, she helped me to choose the best options for myself, including the best protection for them.
