Me and my friend had our first introduction to paddle boarding with Clair yesterday, we both had an incredible time, Clair was a fantastic instructor, she has so much knowledge and passion of the sport and the local area. The Fowey Estuary is such a beautiful location to get on the water. We are now totally hooked and looking to paddle board again soon! Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

I had done SUP a few times so could get around, but the lesson from Phil was invaluable. He tailored the teaching to each member of our group, from first-timers to others like me who had some experience. I fixed a few habits but built a lot more skill in walking around and paddling correctly. Phil was so friendly and knowledgeable and engaged so well with our group. Thanks so much for the lesson Phil, and for the tryout of the more advanced boards at the end.

My brother and I did a paddleboard tour. I had done quite a lot of paddling before, but my brother was a complete newbie. With Ben's guidance, my brother was standing in no time and for the duration of the tour. The tour was really informative with local knowledge being shared. It also had a good balance of challenge and enjoyment, and was well paced. The opportunity to grab an ice cream in Fowey before paddling back to Golant was really welcome on a pretty warm day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in paddleboarding! We really enjoyed the tour and would happily do it again. Ben mentioned that there are other routes we could paddle if we wanted to do any other tours in the future.

A tour with this company should be on any family's list of activities for a stay in the Fowey / St Austell area. It's a small, friendly, and highly professional team and we had a lovely kayak paddle upriver with our family of four, our instructor, and one other family of four who had booked at the same time and were on their second tour, having been downriver before. It was a really nice time paddling - tandem kayaks mean the kids could paddle when they wanted to - and there isn't really any current or other difficulty to manage. Learned lots about the estuary - science and history - from our guide who was local, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We lucked out and had sun the whole time, despite having brought raincoats along. Tour took us upriver to a small town with a cafe, park, and a nice spot for lunch. Great chance to observe the river, look at boats, etc.

Encounter Cornwall - AKA Paddle Cornwall SUP
Amazing experience. These trips are more about enjoying the stunning estuary and the nature. We have been on eight tours in the last four years and seen kingfishers, seals, redwing, curlew, starfish, jellyfish, kestrels...the list goes on. The river is calm which makes the paddling easy, the instructors are great and the trips tend to revolve around a short stop on Fowey or Lerryn. Highly recommended!

We had a Stand Up Paddleboard lesson with Phil this afternoon & had a really enjoyable time. Having never done it before we had an introduction on land and were soon out on the water and getting the hang of paddling kneeling down. The moment of truth soon came with the standing up bit! We both managed it and before long were out paddling in the Fowey Estuary. Amazingly we did manage to stay dry for the full lesson & got to try out Phil's ocean touring board too. Both in our 60's ...... never to old to try something new .... give it a go !

We had a wonderful experience on the river today exploring the estuary up to Lerryn in kayaks. A truly stunning part of Cornwall and a fantastic place to let the cares of the world fade away. Thank you to our brilliant and knowledgeable guide who made the trip perfect. Massively recommended - even on a rainy day!
