Thoroughly enjoyed the day!Did the introduction to blacksmithing course where we each had our own anvil and made a coat hook, keyring, viking knife and fire poker to take home.Great as a present and enjoyable on your own or in a pair.Overall a very rewarding experience and well worth it.

Had an awesome experience doing the 2 day knife making workshop with 4 friends. Leszek is a great tutor. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Les is direct with his instruction but very patient and a good laugh!Full protective equipment is provided as well as a safety briefing.Site has a kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and a bench. Toilets are clean.Highly recommended.

What a amazing day and experience! Having the opportunity to mold steel into something uniquely mine has been on my list for a long time. And no better place to go! Heaps of knowledge, experience and good humour made for a fantastic day! And I got an axe to :D

I had posted a review at the time, but seems to have disappeared since.I had a course booked back in March - not cheap as you know.I travelled and stayed overnight in a hotel, got to the course the next day only for nobody to turn up. I waited around for an hour and a half and nothing, wasting my time and a lot of money.I have not had a single piece of contact since to give any explanation, despite my trying.I hope that the person running the course is OK, but until you have confirmed contact with them that it is taking place, do not book this course.I hope to be able to change this review one day as it truly looks a good course, but for now dont waste your money.

Spent the day over with Paul last week, what a fantastic day!Paul teaches with real enthusiasm and whilst he's quick to say hes not a teacher he has a way of explaining the processes that just made sense, I made a coat hook, some ornamental leaves (what fiddly little bu***rs!) and a viking style knife. Absolutely one of the best days out i've had in a while and i'll be back soon to have a bash at the axe making.

Spent £160 on a voucher for an introductory workshop for a gift, ive called, messaged and emailed numerous times to book onto the course ive been ignored everytime, very bad business etiquette. They take your money and then ignore you. Beware!!!

Absolutely BRILLIANT day forging an axe. Paul was exceptionally professional but also hilarious and we learned so much but also had loads of fun. I would thoroughly recommend any activity here as a gift or special day out.Also they have a bar opening soon, with cider brewed on site ! Does it get any better?

A terrific experience. We, male and female, started with a cube of metal made up of 10 alternate layers and after two days of forging, hammering (fortunately, mostly with a crazy old power hammer), shaping, heat treating, grinding, sharpening and fashioning the handle, we each ended up with our chosen design below. Leszek is a great teacher and expert in the craft of knife making.

Went for my mates stag, Paul was friendly and good fun - gave us a great time. The food was fantastic and his forging teaching was friendly and supportive. Each of us came out with awesome axes and we’re all super pleased

This is an incredible experience, in a true gritty old school Workshop with an amazing coach" that will guide you all the way through. We had a great time forging knives! The end result was well worth the efforts! I highly recommend it!"
