Central Wing Chun
Neil is a great instructor. He focuses on the practicality of concepts and how they can be applied in various situations. The class atmosphere he creates is one of improvement with kindness and friendliness. His knowledge is immense in Wing Chun, and he can easily convey information, and makes sure everyone has grasped the content. As a new student, everyone makes mistakes, however, Neil helps us learn from these and others mistakes so that we can constantly improve ourselves. One specific aspect of his classes that I like is that he continuously asks us to change partners every few minutes, ensuring that we can apply whatever we are practicing to people of different sizes, ages, and strengths, building on the idea that the practicality of techniques are focused on. Truly recommended to join the class!

I've been training Wing Chun with Sifu Neil for over a year now. His teaching style is practical yet still traditional. He ensures everyone in class of all shapes and sizes is able to learn and develop 'their own' Wing Chun. Having done previous martial arts growing up, I've always wanted to try Wing Chun - I have no regrets joining the Neil's classes and the Central Wing Chun Family!

Neil is great man and an exceptional Wing Chun instructor. Not only that he is very knowledegable and skilled in his art, but he is also a great communicator and teacher, delivering the content of his classes in a very professional, personable and friendly way. I've been training in his class since early 2015 and I am really happy with my progress. Having made endless mistakes during my growth, I was always inspired by how Neil picked up on the positives and shared his feedback wiht me and the others in a way that felt constructive and empowering. Martial arts have become an integral part of my life, beautifully integrated with my other physical and spiritual practices. And as a thank you token, every time I travel to an exotic place I send Neil a picture doing my form in the most unexpected settings!

I've been a student of sifu Neil for many years now and he has helped me to develop my Wing Chun and my martial arts. He's a great teacher and more importantly a great guy! He makes learning easy for his students, demonstrates great knowledge and understanding of Wing Chun and is very patient. This class is also very welcoming to newcomers so if you're interested in learning Wing Chun then come and give us a try!

I joined Neil's class over a year ago now and haven't looked back since. Not only do I feel that I'm learning a vital skill, my confidence has improved massively. What I appreciate about Neil's classes is that whilst training your physical self he also puts an emphasis on the mental self. Every lesson, Neil supports your journey of Wing Chun, whether you've just started or have been training for years. He's an excellent, positive teacher and the class is very lucky to have him! The classes are excellent value for money.

I have been frequent a Central Wing Chun student for about 2 and half years now and I can’t recommend this class enough.Neil has the rare ability to communicate clearly, otherwise difficult to understand concepts. He is very approachable, patient, and relaxed, yet passionate about the precision of the art.By making a clear distinction of what is practical and what is not, his way of teaching is by creating a safe yet effective environment for everyone who not only want to learn Wing Chun as an art, but more importantly as an effective way to defend themselves in a real life situation.

I've been training in Central Wing Chun with sifu Neal for about 2 years and a half. I saw my passion and interest in training growing more more since I joined and the reason is because everything Neal teaches makes tremendously sense. All the details have practical application while being deeply rooted in the principles and the tradition of this martial art.Neal communicates very effectively, has got great experience and pushes us in developing our own expression of wing chun, which I particularly like. The pace of the classes, the quality of the teaching, the relaxed but committed atmosphere are perfectly balanced. Greatly recommended

If you are thinking of learning a martial art, Wing Chun has a great deal to offer. If you have decided to learn Wing Chun, then Central Wing Chun is an excellent place to learn. Neil's sessions take place in a relaxed but motivated environment, where students are encouraged to ask why they are doing something, not just learning set moves. Neil brings both detailed knowledge of the subject, and practical experience, always relating the sessions to potential real life situations. The sessions are further supported by assistant instructors and more experienced members. This means newbies feel supported, but more experienced students do not get bored. I have been going for a few years, and it has been an excellent experience.

I've been training at Central Wing Chun for a few years now, and have still only scratched the surface of what Neil has to teach me. The classes are practical, interesting, and most of all, fun. The class is made up of a healthy mix of longer term students and people trying it out to see if it fits. Neil's teaching style has brought in both male and female students, and there are absolutely no egos to speak of. I also really like the flexibility of the pay as you go option (although I understand that there are other options).

I've been training with Neil for the last 4 years and have no desire to go anywhere else. Neil's teaching style is thorough, informal and practical. This creates a good atmosphere in the class, where we are all helping and encouraging each other. To me the feeling in the class reflects the teacher. There are no battles of the ego in here.
