Made lessons fun and adapted to the learning style of my daughter age 11 to 15 She was losing her inspiration to play piano before meeting Chris. Chris reignited her spark. She did well in her exams and played solo in a school concert. But most importantly inspired my daughter now 18 to love playing for pleasure which she still does most days. Thanks Chris a real positive mentor for her childhood

Chris Langdown taught my daughter for approximately 4 years whilst she was at secondary school and prepared her for the Grade 8 exam. She thoroughly enjoyed her lessons with him and learnt the importance of fundamentals and flair. Chris not only enhanced her ability to play but also developed her love and passion for the instrument. She is now in her second year of a music degree at Durham University using her keyboard skills in her college Big Band! She still plays regularly at home and at university and continues to challenge herself through the pieces she plays. Thank you

I honestly believe I found the best piano teacher for my sons. Chris is a very friendly, likeable character. He is kind, welcoming, patient and extremely talented. His love for piano shines through when he is teaching it. My sons really enjoy their sessions and look forward to their next. He motivates and inspires my boys to continue with their passion and its been delightful to watch them grow. Their journeys have just begun and I believe we will be with Chris for the long-haul.

Our daughter studied piano with Chris for several years. He also accompanied her in all of her flute and saxophone exams, whilst she was at school. Our daughter is a keen musician, who was clearly inspired by Chris. She is now thoroughly enjoying her degree level music studies at conservatoire. Chris is a wonderful teacher and we wholeheartedly recommend him.

Our daughter Gemma enjoyed lessons with Chris for 7 years. He taught her not just to play the piano but to become a proper pianist, encouraging her play things she enjoyed alongside helping her to obtain ABRSM grade 8.He was also a great supportive and sympathetic accompanist for many instrumental performances and her ABRSM trumpet exams through to grade 8 too. Chris was always encouraging and was genuinely delighted when she decided to study music at university.

My daughter is 8 years old and started taking lessons 3 month ago from Chris. This is the first time she started taking piano lesson and I think she is very lucky to have her first teacher with such teaching skills and a very good approach for younger children. He keeps her attention to the lesson but also allowing some time for creativity.He knows how to motivate and my daughter cannot wait for the next lesson. She is keen prepare for new songs to share in her next lesson.We are just in the beginning of this long journey but I am sure she will get solid foundations.I would definitely recommend Chris.

Chris taught both my daughters to both enjoy their piano playing and play with skill and confidence. His support of them was outstanding. He is a gifted teacher, allowing and encouraging his pupils to develop their own style and preferences, rather than enforcing rigorous and tedious routines, getting the best out of every level of skill. Would not hesitate to recommend him for any pupil. One of the nicest people I have ever met.
