One of my favourite chains of late, straight out of Tokyo. There aren't enough seats in this branch to match the demand, but that just means a longer span of intrigue, inspecting the menu's clinical food photography. After my fourth visit, I think I've cracked it: Japanese BBQ Beef Curry (level 5 spice + set menu). Tough menu, so just go with the above. £21, mind.

After visiting Coco Ichibanya in Japan this summer I was happy to see I would not have to miss it in the UK! I wanted to do a comparison between and can say its very similar! I had the vegetable spinach curry which is vegan. Not all the vegetable curries are vegan. So be cautious for that. Good tasting curry though so I can for sure recommend it. I just wish the interior was more like the authentic Japanese style

I’ve been to branches of Coco in Japan, China and Hong Kong and it’s one of my favourite Asian chain restaurants. I only recently discovered they’ve got 2 branches in London and had to try it. Prices are more than in Asia but still good value for London standards and the food is just as delicious as it is in Japan.

It was my first time trying Coco Curry. I had heard many good things about it on YouTube and was really looking forward to it. There was a little queue when I arrived but it went by quickly, and in the meantime staff came out with menus and gave me the time to look for what I'd like and took my order so that I would be served shortly after being seated. There were a lot of options on the menu which is great, and I love the customisation aspect of Coco Curry. I got the omelette chicken katsu curry with level 1 spice, and corn and cheese as toppings. Level 1 spice was very mild but tasty and did add some flavour. The omelette was so delicious and creamy. The chicken cutlet was perfect. It had great seasoning in the batter, perfect golden appearance with a great crunch and perfectly cooked on the inside - not dry or chewy. The rice was also good and the curry sauce itself was also good. All together it was really delicious, even better than I had expected! The serving size of the standard rice portion was perfect for me to feel completely satisfied without being too full.I fell in love with Coco Curry from just this one experience. I would say it's quite affordable considering average prices for food in London. I paid around £15. The service was timely and the staff was very nice, polite and effective. Would absolutely recommend and I will definitely be returning!!

Nice casual meal, serving Japanese style curries. Curry sauce was good and the eggs were good too but were let down a bit by the pork katsu (batter could have been a bit crispier). Would recommend it if you were craving a Japanese curry. Good value

We had such a lovely meal. The service was wonderful and quick. The food was hot, fresh and great portions. The choice of heat of the curry was great to see and a nice menu.

We all ordered Chicken Katsu Curry with omelette. Curry taste very nice. Meat is also fine with this price. However, although the portion fits perfectly for a lady, it would be slightly not enough for a bloke. But overall, taste very similar to what I had in Asia.

Level 4 hotness is alright— finally some nice kick. My friend from Sichuan had level 5, not very spicy for her but good. The curry is not exceptional, but as a chain, it’s solid comfort food— I can’t believe I am finishing all the curry. And the okra and tofu work well here.Tonkatsu is mediocre. The pork is a little dry and tough, though not too bad, and the crust separates easily (you can consider it lean protein if you only eat the fresh :). The omelette is a little thin and cooked than expected.
