John does the best tours in Edinburgh, probably in all of Scotland. Extremely knowledgeable and keen for everyone to feel welcome and comfortable enough to ask questions- John knows the lot and has good humour to go along with the facts to keep it interesting and engaging. We hit the jackpot when we chose EDI tours and I couldn't recommend it more.

I cannot recommend the Edinburgh Castle tour enough! The tour guide, John, is so knowledgeable and kept the group engaged the entire time with his funny and interesting stories! Definitely the highlight of my trip to Edinburgh.

My wife & I took the Edinburgh Castle tour, Monday 4th December 10.00. Everything worked like clockwork. Really good communication, directions & information upfront. Then we had the pleasure of meeting & being guided by John! He was the star of the show! Alongside the Castle of course! His delivery of information, stories, anecdotes plus a few humorous interludes was in our view perfection. When it's cold, windy & wet he held the group's attention completely, nobody drifted off, everyone appeared to hang on his every word, I know we did. John made it such a complete experience, if or when we return we will be back for another fabulous tour. Thank you.

My fiancee and I had a very enjoyable tour of Edinburgh Castle. Although there are many tour companies to choose from, I recommend EDI Tours. Our guide, John, is a very nice guy with a great sense of humor. He made the tour quite fun by blending numerous facts about the castle with light hearted jokes. I like John and I would undoubtedly chose EDI Tours the next time I'm in Scotland.

A must for a trip to Edinburgh. 100% would book another tour to the castle when I return. Our guide john reccomeneded an hour extra to explore each area and take in the views and tea rooms of course, defnitly a must. Couldnt reccomeneded EDI tours enough. Johns knowledge and theatrics of histroy brings the tour to life, our group was 6yr to 72yr and we all had a blast.

Our tour of the Edinburgh Castle-2 hour walking tour was fabulous and our tour guide, John was very knowledgeable and fun. Great way to spend an afternoon and learn the history of the castle and Edinburgh! Highly recommend.

What a great tour by John at EDI! This is the castle tour you want to take! John is a dynamic tour guide with some of his stories of the 3000 year old history of the castle bordering on one act plays. John adds humor to his well paced tour up to and through the town within the castle. John took time to connect with everyone in the group and at some point made a historical connection between something in the castle and the country each visitor was from. John is a wealth of knowledge and will give in depth answers to your questions. John also arranged for it to be sunny throughout the whole tour…yes, I’m giving him credit for this

The tour with John was amazing! He is hilarious and knowledgeable. The way he is sharing his knowledge about the Edinburgh Castle is entertaining and interesting. After the tour I know that it is the best way to doscover Edinburgh history and Scots culture. Thank you one more time! ;)
